Man I miss the animation style of the early 2000's.Childhood nostalgia aside, going back and looking at Atlantis, Treasure planet, Titan A.E and even the Iron Giant (4 of my top 10 animated films list) the art styles are great in that they are both visually stunning and unique to that time.And don't even get me started on the storytelling. Unlike the 4 movies I mentioned, most kids today won't have the same experience that Millenials are now a days because unlike us most of what they are forced to watch is garbage. They won't want to go back and watch anything 10 years from now because most of it just won't hold up. Point and case: the angry birds movie. I lost braincells just watching the trailers.

Tbh anime is finally becoming more popular than that garbage after being around for 60 years, and the story telling for the majority of it is almost at the level you would get from reading a novel

Hands down absolute favorite film of my childhood. This movie is somewhat responsible for my love of rock/metal music. I was 11 when I saw it in theaters and loved it. I was also, however, somewhat depressed at that time and the only thing that made me happy was watching this movie and reading the jr. novelization that came out as well. I know it sounds somewhat dramatic, but I was quite the depressed child back then, I just never talked about it. This movie reminds me of that time, however it also reminds me of how it kind of....helped me in a way? I know that sounds batshit crazy but...I don't know how else to explain it. It probably sounds kind of stupid...

If you are here reading comments about this film and have yet to have seen it, stop wasting time go out rent it, buy it whatever but make sure you see this. This is a film masterpiece as far as I am concerned and as a kid when I saw this afterwards I left the theatre thinking ok now that was a amazing animated film do not be fooled it may be animated but this film is good for any age, old and young alike it's simply amazing.

If there's a way I would love to see this movie remade, it's with updated CGI models and effects, or entirely hand drawn (the latter being upright impossible though, considering all the effects.) Personally, I don't know what's wrong with me always liking the animated movies way over real/acted ones. Maybe at the age of 24 right now, I've still not grown into an adult, and possibly never will. :D
@Dimitri888888886 жыл бұрын
@iRinnda Don't belittle yourself, I don't think animation should ever be considered juvenile, it is just that society has put a stigma on it mostly because of Disney but in other places in the world it is not the case, like in japan. I think any types of animation is awesome I just wish it wasn't completely stale and limited in the west.

You'd actually be quite surprised just how many similarities Titan AE and Treasure Planet have. Main characters are both initially rebellious and have both lost their fathers at a young age, and they both befriend a male character who eventually betrays them but comes back in the end. The list goes on.

The thing I like about how this movie looks is...other-species interaction. Among other things, but just from the trailer, that looks darn cool.
