These are a great little chainsaw for the money. The chain tensioner is a little awkward but easily doable with bit of patience. Don't forget to pump grease into the sprocket on the tip of the bar. Use a fine oil that flows easily onto the chain. The chain and bar are good quality. I used Sunflower oil. It keeps the chain nice and clean and cool. Let the weight of the saw do the work and don't throw it about. It cuts really well and it's the best electric chain saw I have used yet. My two Aldi and Lidl cheapie were heavier and awkward. This Titian is a big improvement.

I have one of these, bought it a few years ago while on special offer to cut logs in the back garden without upsetting the neighbours with my big stihl. I've cut logs to more than 3 times the value of the saw , so its a great bargain. My only gripe is the side handle is very uncomfortable but other than that I can't fault it especially for 40 quid .
@JimmyTheMower Жыл бұрын
I think it's excellent value. The bar and chain must be worth more than £40 alone 👍

The most awkward chainsaw I've ever set up in my life.
@creepycrawlything3 жыл бұрын
To give me slack to get the chain over the drive sprocket, I use masking tape to tape the chain over the bar. Taping near the nose, and near the sprocket end. So the chain is really snug around the bar. Your description of the sprocket better describes how the chain fits on the sprocket, than I had thought through. I have Titan and Stayer electric chainsaws, and they both have this difficult to fit bar and chain issue.

Jimmy good explanation wonder if you can help, was working with the same saw today must add it has given me great service with logs up to 10inch diameter the saw was locked in running position there was a klunk around the trigger and the button came out and I cannot lock it in running position. The saw runs perfectly otherwise. Where can I get it serviced / repaired in UK
@JimmyTheMower2 жыл бұрын
The best thing you can do is call screwfix directly on 03330 112 112 They should be able to point you in the right direction. Although, with the average workshop charging around £50 per hour plus parts plus VAT it might not be economical to repair. All the best, Jimmy

Hi Jimmy great video. The adjustment screw lasted all of 30 minutes on mine. It should come with some nutlock on it. M5 x 50 for a replacement, other than that I was really impressed with the performance of it.
@JimmyTheMower2 жыл бұрын
It was a real pain to set up but you can't argue with the price. A new oregan chain and bar will cost you £50 on their own.

I found the same. In the UK the tensioner screw can be sourced from Solent Tools. Best order a dozen.

Great honest video. Still puzzled by the instruction book Page 17 Section 4 : “After the adjustment, re-tighten the locking wheel (11). Page 3 diagram (11) is an “Oiling Port” So I cannot find a “locking wheel (11)”.

Thanks for the video. However, I have a question with regards to the Titan TTB355CHN chainsaw that I have. I was cutting a bamboo tree down yesterday, and I was making a few cuts but then the chainsaw stopped, as if it was jammed with the bamboo leaves wrapped around the drive sprocket. I have taken off the drive sprocket cover and cleared away the leaves. Also I have replaced the 13A fuse with one that I know works, but the drive sprocket still does not turn. Any one with any ideas as to what I can try to fix the issue. This is my second Titan chain saw. The first one failed due to a faulty switch. Thanks in advance.
@JimmyTheMower Жыл бұрын
That's very interesting, hope someone can come up with an answer 👍
@heafodatheafod3142 жыл бұрын
The problem with this Titan chainsaw is that no parts are available in the UK apart from a replacement chain. So if the tensioner screw for example fails, then throw the entire chainsaw away.
