The prime valve is not intended to release 3300 psi. Its intended to prime the line. Painters should not be dumping pressure through this valve unless they want to replace it regularly lol Turn your pressure to zero and release through the gun. Then release the rest through the valve

anything over 1000psi is damaging the prime valve. soft release is better than nothing but releasing pressure through the gun is an easy step to prolong life@@Idahopainter

Yep, engineers! Titan told me because someone stuck their finger in and got injured by the piston in action so they did that. LOL if you ask me.

I remove the manifold filter, and gun filter, after running the paint out from the pump and hoses, then the cleanup runs with water, or other, go much faster/cleaner/easier. And always clean the filters with every use.

Just ordered mine. Sherwin has them on sale. Ive been using a graco project painter as i dont paint much. It has worked great have painted large exterior and interior jobs with it. It sucks alot of paint though. Hoping this one is much better. Maybe titan will send me some extras for making the change lol.

I have bud... I wasn't keeping my eye on the paint and then it started kickin and I ran over to fill it up all stressed and in a hurry. I switched the prime(titan 8900 gas btw) and shot paint all over this black top parking lot... Hit some car and it was in the middle of summer. I only had a couple years of experience.... I've never done it since haha... Oops

@@nothingsimpostleble1593 lol, I can see how it would happen with them gas rigs, I strictly just do residential repaints so I'm always using a variety of electric pumps. So any time they start kickin from low paint I run over and cut the power.

Curious if you like this sprayer more than the previous 440 impact after using it a while?..I bought one and it wouldn’t prime them they replaced it and I had issues non stop with it not holding pressure when spraying. How has it been holding up for you compared to the previous model?

Considering that you have to use lube everytime you finish with the sprayer, this is super frustrating. How do you know when the resevoir is full?

Tritech is by far the best made machine of the three. Innovation? Spraying paint is a pretty basic concept with an airless sprayer. The conventional pressure gauge they use is all you need to setup the machine and get it done. No need for gimmicks, etc. Plus, the Tritech will maintain a constant presence in my experience.

The Pryor version is still an excellant pump . I have used mine mostly on exterior Repaints for the last 5 years. 4_5 houses per year plus Sheds and several fences. ZERO problems so far. 👌

I bought a TITAN Xi 445 contractor series. It came with a TITAN LX60 gun. I have no idea how old this version is but it was not used. A guy had it in his store room for probably years. Its my first airless sprayer and I used it on a job here in Jamaica for the first time. If anybody else owns one like this let me know how old this version is.
