Also, as an addendum, Shields come before flat absorb in the damage order. I retested this with energy armor and my larger tool-set of items. Credit to Stanislav rulik for bringing this up. This has the side effect of making 'Energy Armor' much better for shield builds as it will take monsters longer to burst the bubble, thus buying time (and energy) for your next Energy Shield.

What a great video, thank you! For a quick reference, here were the resistances Clex mentioned as being particularly important for each act. Act 1: poison, vitality Act 2: poison, fire Act 3: all elemental, vitality Act 4: poison, vitality, pierce (more than usual) Act 5: cold, bleed + (later) vitality, fire All: physical, pierce

This is some professional grade video, I constantly have to roll back and listen again, because it's complicated to understand all of it at once. Good job, sir. Are you okay? You haven't made a video for a very long time

This is all very useful. One thing I'll is that swap gear is less useful when you don't know what you're going up against as a new player. In my first playthrough, I was keeping swap rings but eventually, I just stopped doing that because I didn't know when to use them anyway. I guess you could have a guide with boss abilities to check or something, but that's a bit much when you just want to play through the game.

I just found titan quest about a week ago, and your channel I did find yesterday, worths gold or more, your videos are just so good, even though they're quite long, unlike many other people who make really short videos compared to yours, but you really have a magical way of explaining things so simple and still provide a lot of detailed knowledge, that's really cool man, thanks so much, I appreciate it a lot

About the hp part: I think if you don’t want to farm as much for the perfect resistances, going a bit harder for the hp can be the way to go. I personally like a bit of a defensive playstyle which doesn’t let you 1 hit anyone anymore but during boss fights you can just run for a bit and wait for potion cooldown to heal you up every few sec if need be. Just saying this, I played 1 chat through the end (I mean yeah he had the nature component so heart of oak was in it) and finished the game with 10-12 k hp depending on which gear atm and that allowed me to completely ignore resistances, had negative 30-100 in poison, pierce and worked just fine

Your guides are so great man. I wish you'd do some for the Atlantis content. New skills! I'm working on my first character on switch, got an idea for an evoker, next ill try the new rune stuff. I've played since disc on PC back before Diablo 3.

...great work! much appreciated ... ... worst things are that armor stat is almost useless and that attack dmg to life doesn't work on undead and mechanical while hp regen is not good either so you are absolutely forced to drink potions all the time ...
@clexplays72686 жыл бұрын
Yes, I tend to skip most undead if possible. They are slow so they leash easily! You get amazing value from ADCtH otherwise. I made flat life leech work on another character who just cleared legendary deathless. I will make a build guide for him next week.

Soo can anyone confirm or deny, the wiki says the health potion recovery, that the flat amount is instantly and the percentage heal is over time. Here he said it’s the other way around? I feel ingame like it’s the way the wiki says..
@TXHuyIcefrzzy Жыл бұрын
Yes! Your feeling is right. Health potion recovercy instantly flat amount and percentage heal is overtime.

It's a nice guide, but you've skipped really important topic of debuffing enemies. How does it work? 1. Damage reduction % for x sec (eg. Squall + Obscured Visibility, Plague + Fatigue). 2. Damage reduction y for x sec (eg. Plague + Fatigue) 3. y% Slowed attack for x sec (eg. retaliation from Storm Nimbus + Heart of the Frost) etc. Does it stack/cap? I'm planning to use this as main defense in my machinegun druid build (these skills are also reducing enemy's resistances, so it seems great to use them alongside ice shard - one of the few no-cooldown offensive skills, even after -recharge nerf, build should be viable), so I'd like to have better knowledge on them.

@nEVER4BoRN2 жыл бұрын
All this make me think that spirit and defense mastery are so strong when you look at order of mitigation. I'm little surprised if physical damage resistance go after armor.
@TXHuyIcefrzzy Жыл бұрын
No, Physical dmg res goes before armor.
@provet16 жыл бұрын
So with 300 armor and 66% armor absorption and damage taken at armor step with no other resist = 198 damage, you take zero applied damage to health? (Damage - Armor * Armor Absorb = applied damage) 198 - 300 * 0,66 = 0
@stefanstojiljkovic70286 жыл бұрын
Actualy it doesn't work like that. If you have 100 armor with 66% armor absorption and take a hit of: 1) 100 phys damage It works like this: 100 dmg is inside the 100 armor perimiter so it is all reduced by 66% = 66 damage prevented and 33 damage taken. 2) 150 phys damage: 100 out of the 150 damage is inside the armor perimiter so only that 100 dmg is reduced by 66% so you take 34 + (150-100) = 84 dmg. Now, if you had 100% armor absorption every instance of physical damage towards you would just be reduced by your armor value
@dk-sky38206 жыл бұрын
Stefan Stojiljkovic Based on your own calculation, you would still get 50 dmg with 100% armor absorption in 2nd case.

@LeoFINuTube6 жыл бұрын
You didnt mention slow effects at all, why???. Distortion wave is good example. It will not only slow down movement speed of enemies by 56%, but also their attack speed AND cast speed by same percentage.
@clexplays72686 жыл бұрын
Yes slow is amazing, I agree. Also Impair Aim, Stun, Confuse, etc (Mandrake, Squall). I gave a shout-out to slow on my Dragon Hunter Guide. The only thing I would note is that these type of effects tend to have a lesser effect of Heroes and Bosses. Also, since AE, normal monster resists to slow increase per difficulty. I do not believe the effects stack either, you just apply the largest one you have if there is a conflict.
@nEVER4BoRN2 жыл бұрын
@@clexplays7268 thing like reduced total speed is different and apparently not resisted like regular slow. In my testing staking slow have diminishing effects. Presuming 2x 50% slow, second 50% slow mod will only work on remaining speed as new total. So to say 50% slowed monster is 50% faster against 2x 50% slow monster but from player perspective its 75% slow.

The shield logic in the game is beyond me...I really don't understand it. On all other aspects this Titan Quest seems like a very well thought game, but this? How do the devs imagine a shield can block poison, bleeding, life leach, vitality damage? Let imagine a warrior raising a shield to prevent an attack, and an enemy spear hits the shield. Somehow based on this logic the pierce damage (spearhead hitting the shield) can be prevented but the bleed freaking damage (that supposed to be caused by the spearhead cutting artery) CAN go through if damage is higher than shield's rate? How is it possible from the sheer point of logic? If the first attack is mitigated, why the hell all other attacks that are consequences of the first still count? What bleeds at this point, a shield? Also how the f*ck would one block a poison damage with shield, if a freaking gas bomb is thrown at him? They really need to rethink it. P.S. Speaking about "poison" which really should be called "venom/toxin" in this game, since I don't remember any skill that allows to mix something in monsters foods/drinks.
@Lightning_Lance3 жыл бұрын
2 years old comment, but I agree with you lol. As to your PS, you are right of course, this is one of those things where games just always tend to call it poison. :/
