TITAN TTB705BDS 80MM Bandsaw blade change and guide setup after a snapped blade

I change the blade on my TITAN TTB705BDS 80MM Bandsaw after the existing blade snapped whilst I was cutting. As well as replacing the blade, I run through setting up the blade guides.

I have a titan bandsaw. When I first had it it would cut quite good. The only problem I had was with the blade binding. This eventually lead to the drive belt being damaged. I replaced the belt. Then the blade got dull, so I replaced it with an Axminster blade the first one they sent was too long, so they replaced it. Recently all my cuts have started to wander off line. I have tried resetting the machine, but no great change. I will try a new blade from a different supplier, but if that doesn't work I dont know what to do. The blade guide is plastic and there seems a lot of play in it. The trouble is, although there is quite a lot of choice at this price point, they are basically all the same machine, so to get better quality I would have to spend a lot more money to replace the Titan.

I have always had "blade wander", but to be fair it hasn't affected my work because I never cut straight lines, my projects are 100% curves, so I'm never trying to keep the blade in a straight line. I bought a Lumberjack 14" and I still get blade drift on that as well, despite it being £700 worth of bandsaw, but again, because I am 100% of the time cutting curves, it isn't a problem for me, but when I have tried straight cuts using a fence, the blade drift has always been frustrating, especially on a £700 machine. I've always put it down to my technique, and just ignored it!

Great video, thank you. I have the same titan machine and I’m struggling to find blades for it. The one I got off eBay from the bandsaw shop stated it was for the tan machine but it’s too short. Screwfix didn’t seem to have a clue where I bought it from. Do you know what length they are please blade?

Hi yes the replacement blades that I have got for this machine were 1575 mm, and I got them from sawmaster.co.uk
