I think Hover works really well with precision weapons if you know what you are doing. For example, you come out super fast from a wallrun and you see someone on a rooftop, instead of landing and shooting him you can hover, take him out, and keep moving. You have to be careful tho, because you are an easy target while in the air holding still.

I used the Hemlok for the first time after a week or two of TF2. All I knew was that the thing was apparently OP, both from a ton of people using it and people complaining about it. I didn't really know anything about it so whatever, I thought. My first instinct was 'I just melted that guy, he actually melted'. Having played MWR a few days earlier, my second thought was 'It's the fucking M16'. Used it for two games, it became my most efficient weapon, I took a shower, and now I prefer not to use it. If you do use it, well, whatever it's fine.

Frothy.... HUGE news incoming. By the time you read this comment, you'll probably have seen it already somewhere else, but I just read the patch notes for the Angel City update and firing your weapon now disables Cloak. This is a MASSIVE nerf to cloak and I'm not sure it's a good thing... what are your impressions of this decision?

FrothyOmen That's what I thought. I'm not sure what Respawn was thinking, but I hope they reverse this decision soon. I think a much more reasonable and still quite effective nerf would just be to shorten the time Cloak is active. It's a shame that a very good tactical is being completely laid to waste...

Ha, I was just coming on here to say the same thing. Though, paired with and Eva-8 and Tactikill it's still useful for getting around without drawing too much attention to your backside. But you sure as hell won't be walking up to people and shooting them in the face. It needed nerfing, but this was overkill.

I don't know. Cloak seemed a bit too powerful beforehand. You're still able to get the drop on your opponent, and that coupled with the quick time to kill could still keep the ability in check. Perhaps they just need to reduce the cooldown timer on it? It's a difficult thing to judge, however, considering the weapon abilities to reduce cooldown timer.

Well there's three components to the nerf, one is losing cloak upon firing, one is resetting the cooldown upon firing, and the one is the cloak now functions more like the cloak in Predator, rather than a cloak say, one in Ghost in the Shell. (More visually distinct.) One or two of these together might have made sense as a nerf, and/or possibly messing with just how long the cloak lasted. But all three of these nerfs just render it too weak. I've already changed my Eva-8 cloak build to stim and my k/d increased by like 20% from new cloak.

On PC, threat scope or quick reload is probably better, but I abuse aim assist on Xbox and use whatever the quickscope attachment is called. If I aim in the general direction of an enemy within my effective range it's a one-shot kill with the Hemlok. Incredible gun.

Anyone else noticed that hit registration on cloaked players is super inconsistent?? I can't tell if the player model is bigger than the others therefor making the hitboxes smaller than the actual player model; or if cloaking just messes up the registration of hits with the server... But there is def something wonky as fudge going on because it doesn't happen with any other player model/ability, and I think that's part of the reason cloaked is so good right now

Its worth noting the statistics are not wrong in game, pilots simply have 200 hp, just like in titanfall 1. The rate of fire is also shots per 10 seconds.

No, they don't. You don't have any source for pilots having 200 hit points. I have unpacked VPKs stating they have 100, as well as developers telling me straight up they've got 100, lol

I love the Hemlock...I switch back and forth with this gun and the Eva....and wrecking is what they both do. If it is close, then it is Eva time...all other times are for the Hemlock.

Slater Godfrey if they did some balancing work that would be cool. But as they are now? No. Brute is op and could probably ruin gameplay for some people. Expedition is basically a less powerful version of Legion and would get wrecked by Ronins, Northstars, Scorches and pretty much everything. I just don't see it happening the way those Titans are in the campaign. But yea, if they're changed up then that would be really cool. Good idea!

I'd say the Hem is better at Mid and ties the g2 at long range, but the G2 is far better at hip fire for those surprise close encounters. Overall I think the Hem is the better weapon, but the g2 is more versatile.

My buddy and I just started playing a week ago and we are both experiencing a lag or no firing on the hemlock when the trigger button is pressed. We end up losing many gun fights to this. Anyone else having this problem. None of my other weapons have this issue.

"Last time I hear of that was the M16 with stopping power in COD 4" M16 in COD 4 was a 2-round kill up close with stopping power in COD 4, actually. You could get a 1-burst kill even without stopping power, or cross-map people with one burst with it. Same in MW2, along with the FAMAS. And the Type 95 in MW3 (where stopping power was gone) had a 2-round burst kill up close in exchange for needing 5 rounds at longer range. Otherwise, every COD game set later than WW2 had a burst-fire Assault Rifle that could kill in 3 rounds up close, just like the Hemlok. If you're gonna talk trash at least get it right daddy

I find the hemlock a really versatile weapon. And I normally run it with tacKill and the quick scope ability so my chances of survival at closer ranges. Also, this gun is terrible at taking multiple foes at a time.

I don't quite like the Hemlok for the same reason I don't like the G2. I feel as if my movement is restricted in comparison to the SMGs, Flatline, and R201... but that's just me.

You can use kill report for a variety of strategies, that's how you would make good use of it. I use it to see where I could flank my enemies.

I find it good on Homestead, where in the borders of cover on either side of the massive open space, it's important to know the positions of your enemy.

+EXENOX fires to the chevron (the triangle), not the center of the screen. The chevron will move slightly and bullets will track to that. Good question!

Steven Terry It was very hard to see people who were cloaked, even if they were close to you making it incredibly strong, and the idea of not having it deactivate when shooting makes it even more difficult to deal with. Idk how severely it's been nerfed, but it needed one

Stim is far more powerful and it was easier to see cloaked pilots than tf1 honest u could see a cloaked pilot from across the map if you just pay attention.

Steven Terry You say that, but when you add in the lighting of areas in the game (its done beautifully, no problems with it) it gets pretty fucking difficult to see a moving nearly fully invisible pilot with sun glare in your face, or see them when they sit under or in some dark crevice (which most of them usually do)
