The most beautiful song of all time. I know people give it a lot of crap because it was a pop hit, recorded by Celine Dion. But screw that! In my opinion it is one of the most beautiful melodies of all time, sung by one of the best singers of all time. I have no idea how people can hate this song. I can understand if it's not your cup of tea, but if you're someone who claims to be passionate about music, you should at least be able to respect this song for the masterpiece that it is. This cover really shows just how powerful the music is. You don't have to like Celine Dion or pop music to recognize this song is wonderful. And there is a reason why this song was number 1 on the charts and stayed popular for so long, because it's amazing. You may not want to admit it, but when this song came on the radio in 1998, you turned that shit up without shame. So all the haters can back off. Deep down, you know you love this song. If it doesn't give you the feels, then you're dead inside.
@lumineon.6 жыл бұрын
You said it all! People tend to hate on mainstream and things that get popular because it is easy to do so. 1 for causing a placebo effect, and 2 for wanting to go against that. But If you look at this piece, even if there was a placebo effect, It would not matter because it is indeed a masterpiece of a song and it represents a beautiful side of music.

@ACIDBURN66616 жыл бұрын
@@marvinnowack5029I am going to be making assumptions based off of what I've researched because I too have been wanting to recreate this. I'm not sure what program Tom uses for an editor but for the sake of convenience lets just say Adobe After Effects, that's what I'd use. There are scripts (well, one that I know of) to translate midi data into keyframe data. The one I am referring to is om_midi (I don't think it has a name, just google it), this is really the only one that I've ever found. You play and record your piano with whatever software you use (I use addictive keys) and export both audio and midi from there and import the audio into After Effects and import the midi into the om_midi script and it will spit out a null object with all the keyframes that it converted from the midi file. You tie the keyframes with a particle emitter value from an emitter plugin such as particular from video co-pilot and you get this sort of effect. As for the physical lights on the actual piano that light up when a key is hit; that I have not looked up much about. Although it can't be that hard to find out. Now, this is a very watered down version of what you would need to do but I think it's in the right direction.

As a pianist myself, you can never ever successfully learn this if you don't enjoy exercising your brain and if you don't enjoy the process of learning more. If you learn just because you want to impress someone someday, you will never learn this
@mikael88644 жыл бұрын
Then I'm glad that I belong in the first category. I'm learning this for myself, being able to impress others with my playing will be a side bonus.

Agreed. It’s a skill you master, then it’s impressive. You don’t put this much time into instruments to impress someone - you will quit before you get it.
