Sure, buying a ticket means that you'll only have an abysmally low chance to win the lottery and only lose the price of the ticket, but what if *this* is the one and it will change your life? At least it gives you chance, and *someone* has to win, and if you do, it's going to be awesome. Sure, buying an NFT means that you're practically guaranteed to get rug-pulled and lose all the crypto you paid for it, but what if *this* one is going to make it big and you can sell it to some idiot for a 1000% profit? Maybe putting the same money into bonds or stocks is safer, but maybe you can game the system, and if you do, it's going to be awesome. Same psychology, just on different scales.

The creative drive in that community was unseen anwhere else. Its only matched recently with VRChat worlds. SL was the orginal VRChat. The only change you have to make there is change it so the NFT only goes on the blockchain after the idiot has bought it(otherwise you are basically guaranteed to loose money) It would also help to use the AI to make botted posts on twitter or similar to drive traffic toward it. I wonder if some NFT purchases aren't even out of genuine desire for the item but are instead just a means to launder money. Similar to when TF2 crate keys were used to launder rubles about a decade back because keys were an unregulated item you could trade for value. Would explain the multiple purchases on projects like this where the appeal level seems low even to the greatest fools. It might just be a way to move money instead of make money.
