I've had my Titanium 125 for almost 18 months and have welded a lot with it, and it has never failed me. I've repaired car carriers, trailers, lawn tractors, ag equipment, and done dozens of home projects, welding everything from 16 ga to 1/4" plate and this little welder has tackled it all. Best wire for me is INE .030, once dialed in it has very little spatter and buttery welds. I've also never hit the Duty cycle, even on hot, summer Alabama days. I did replace the ground clamp with the heavy 400A brass one from HF for a few bucks, which IMO is a wise upgrade for any welder. I like the portability too; a small 2500 watt generator will power this welder to 20A and it'll fix just about anything you break in the field, whether it's an off road vehicle or an implement on a tractor. And for less than $200 it just can't be beat. Great review, liked & subbed, thanks! 👍

I can tell you from my 28 years of production welding experience that this welder will out perform any other 125 flux welder period. I had to weld a trailer hitch assembly to a friends heavy duty hauling trailer and could not go past half the settings. It's a true beast. China got a winner with this one lmao.

I bought one of these as a secondary machine for when I need to tack parts together that I’ve machined that need to be in precise relationship before being fully welded and have to be moved to the welding area on another floor. I’ve used it for more than that though. For light work this is an excellent machine. But don’t think it can replace a more powerful machine, because it can’t. Too many people doing “reviews” don’t know how to weld and show terrible welds that don’t show this one at its best. Thankfully, you do know how to weld, and your welds show what the machine can do in experienced hands. But people need to be patient if they expect their welds to look like yours. The manual is surprisingly good, and has excellent photos and explanations. It pays to read it. For the best welds stay 1/2” away from the material with flux core, even 5/8” isn’t too far. But for the price and weight, it’s great. It’s cheap enough so that I would tell people to buy this over any no name Chinese model for much less.

@elfpimp12 жыл бұрын
I have the 125 ac welder from HF. I love it. The easy flux 125 is definitely superior to that especially seeing how it's a DC negative welder, it's beads are MUCH cleaner, doesn't spit out anywhere NEAR as many beads, and it is way easier to clean up after. It's also much quieter than my AC welder. Lighter and easier to carry.
@robertblackshear89632 жыл бұрын
They said that because they definitely are not experienced welders. A good welder could weld very decently even with the old 90 amp cold box lol. But this machine and most dc mig/flux welders are light years ahead. That's just my input based on my 28 years of production welding. I'm sure you will love this machine.

This welder seems plenty powerful enough for 1/4" single pass if you bevel it for sure! Multiple passes and I think you could do much thicker material. I saw a video somewhere that he tested the amperage of the welder maxed out and it was over 130amps which is amazing considering it being a 110v unit. I haven't welded much with mine yet other than 14 gauge tubing and some 1/4" to 3/16 plates. Definitely need some more practice for my welds to look like yours!

A BIG BLACK EYE FOR HARBOR FREIGHT I have a Harbor freight TITANIUM FLUX 125 WELDER purchased from Harbor Freight a couple years ago. I am a retired plumbing contractor and backyard hobbyist. I love to build things in my spare time and help friends and neighbors that need something repaired. When I retired and closed my business, I had a stick welding machine but had no convenient place to connect it at my home! It would require an upgrade to my electrical service not worth the trouble and expense! When I saw a couple reviews on KZbin for this Titanium 125 welder, I thought that would be the way to go. I already had a 110 Volt 30 Amp circuit to my workshop! It took me a while to get adjusted to the flux wire welding. I built a minibike from scrap pipe I had left over from the plumbing shop. The welder allowed me to make other things and make repairs for others I wouldn’t be able to do without it. In the middle of my last project, I cut a couple pieces of metal and got ready to weld them and when I pushed the button on the welder, nothing happened! It was dead! The fan did not come on but the light on the ON/OFF indicated there was power to the welder. I checked the manual for a reset button or a fuse and found no mention of either. So, I called the Harbor Freight 800 number and was told there was no repair for this welder. Harbor Freight has no repair facility, and no support is available. I was told by two different tech reps there is no schematics or parts list available from the factory where this is manufactured. “It is not worth getting it repaired and cheaper to go purchase a new one!” If you purchase this welder or many other things from Harbor Freight You only have 3 Months Warranty. It is considered disposable after that! All the reviews and discussion I have read about HARBOR FREIGHT I have never seen anything about their total lack of support for their products! I didn’t even get an “I’m sorry” or any offer for a discount on a new welding machine! I am retired, was an electronics technician in the Navy, active Ham Radio operator and electronics hobbyist. I feel like the electronics in this welding machine is straight forward non computer controlled and any decent electronics tech should be able to repair this given reasonable support. I removed the circuit board from the welder and found where a small component burned of course not knowing the component value or purpose will make it difficult to replace. Providing a schematic and parts list is a very inexpensive form of support that should be a minimum requirement. Their claim to revenue of 7 Billion Dollars tells me they could afford it! Leland Cox

Great video Henry; my question is I have this same welder what will cause the wire to act like it sputtering while welding? Thank You
@Engraved_In_Mind2 жыл бұрын
That would be the ground not getting the right conduction to the metal or the voltage being too and the wire speed to high. Cold welds with high wire speed will sputter, as for hot weld with low wire speed will penetrate good but can also melt the metal and fall through if your pace isn’t fast enough. Try the ground first. Grind or clean the area that will be grounded. If that continues check your welder setting but also check the material your want to weld, because it’s important that your welding on a good clean area as well or that can also make it sputter. Example. You’ll weld better on mill scale than you will on rust, but if you clean the mill scale to a shiny silver you’ll hear the difference in the arc as you’re welding.

We use the Predator 9000, and have yet to encounter any problems. www.harborfreight.com/9000-watt-gas-powered-portable-generator-epa-iii-63970.html You don't necessarily need one that big, but we run multiple welders and tools at the same time while in the field, so we can never have too much power. As for a time frame, you'll reach the duty cycle of the welder long before your generator craps out on you. If you're looking for a generator, make sure to get one that has a 20 amp outlet. Some smaller generators only have 15 amp outlets, which you'll run the risk of burning when the Titanium Flux 125 is maxed out.

It can under the right settings and the right technique. Welding thin material is different than thick. You won’t be laying beads you will be tacking the area you want to join together to help the metal stay cool. It even helps to tac and then wait about a minute to let the material cool and then proceed with the next tac following the same procedure. Tacking hot sheet metal will blow holes all into your material.

I wouldn't try to whip with flux core. You're just including slag in the weld.

Dude just use a wire wheel or wire brush to clean that

Has anybody tried welding stainless steel with it?

No but you gave me the idea to make a video about it now.

You've been welding for 8 years I think you said, and no welding table or even a chipping hammer 🔨 ?
@Engraved_In_Mind3 жыл бұрын
Nope, I don’t need one at home. I have plenty in my work tool box. Same for the table.

@@Engraved_In_Mind ok but I guess it's just the optics of it, a welder using a pipe I think it was and welding on what looked like a cement driveway, kind of goes against a person's credibility don't you think?

@@Engraved_In_Mind Absolutely. Coming from another first class welder like you definitely are. You ran it bruh.

You been welding 9 years and you call them (fireballs) bebees. Funny
@Engraved_In_Mind2 жыл бұрын
Yes, because they resemble bbs. They’re not even called “fireballs” because they’re not fire, they’re molten metal.

Damn you might want to buy an angle grinder and a wire cup wheel

Own both of them. Thanks

Harable weld. If you know how to weld then you wont have any burn throughs.
@Engraved_In_Mind2 жыл бұрын
*horrible* And it burnt through cause the material was too thin and I had the voltage very high.
@robertblackshear89632 жыл бұрын
Experienced welders get burn-throughs sometimes. I hope you're kidding.
