It’s Brian Callahan‘s job to evaluate the QB prospects and determine if they’re good enough to get the job done… he knows what great quarterbacks look like because he’s coached a bunch of them… he knows what not great quarterbacks look like cause he’s coached two this year… If these two draft prospects don’t look better than Will Levis, there’s no point in drafting them! We all have to trust in their evaluation of talent and support whatever they decide to do… we can all have opinions, but hopefully they’re the experts and are going to get us one step closer to our Super Bowl dreams.

#1 - if Sanders/Ward are not worth #2, then don’t pick them. Most analysts and players have them as late 1st or 2nd rd picks for a reason. #2 - if you pick a QB early and can’t support their development, then why do it? #3 - a ton of great QBs in NFL history were not taken in the top 10 of drafts. It happens so often that you don’t “have to” take one early. #4 - the NFL model is flawed. In college you recruit a QB or two almost every yr. The NFL seems to pick one guy and ride him into the ground for a few yrs then start over with a rookie. Why not groom a guy for a little while? #5 - A bridge QB does NOT mean that you don’t draft someone. You can get a bridge and draft anyone anywhere in any draft. #6 - let’s say that we use a bridge QB and we pick #15 in the 2026 draft. We can still move up, down, or stay where you’re at to choose a QB if you want one. And with the stack of QB prospects likely to be in the 2026 draft, you could stay at #15 and still get a better prospect than Sanders/Ward. #7 - what if Sanders/Ward don’t fit Callahan? You gonna force the pick just because this is only the 2nd time ever picking this high? Callahan seems to favor guys that are cerebral, 6’4” guys, pocket passers with cannons for arms, who play well within a specific system. Not Sanders or Ward.

You take the bridge QB if you don’t think any of the QBs are worth the #2 pick. You don’t just draft a qb to draft a qb. I’m not a fan of either Cam Ward or Sanders for our team. Abdul Carter with Simmons & Sweat would be massive.

Couple of things: 1. Archie Manning is likely to say at least two more years at Texas, it's his first full season starting it'd be odd for him to immediately walk. 2. Even if Archie Manning does come out, does the fanbase want to 3-15 again to even be in position? I doubt it. 3. I find an odd trend where the small-market Titans should be "smart" and play it safe but the big market Raiders and Giants should take the risk and try to hit a home run. Their roster is as bad or worse than ours. It's such an odd mentality that we should always try to make "small-market" moves.

Around the 11’ min mark of the podcast, “What gets you closer to contending?” Getting a bridge QB, drafting a QB to learn, develop the team, then pass the torch to the young guy when he’s ready. This is the most likely avenue to reach competition by far.

We will be in the same boat we are this year if the team around the quarterback isn't addressed. We have to sure up the o-line and fix the d. Get a bridge guy to get us through until we have a team ready for a qb. Otherwise you might as well stick with Levis with the talent that I'm seeing at the qb position in the draft.

If you do not like the QBs it is fine to be against drafting one. Neither of these guys are likely to succeed. The odds are already low for a top qb and these guys are meh. Of course I will hope for for the best if we get any of them. But I would hope the team checks out JJ mccarthy. No way are they getting rid of darnold, he is their guy moving forward and Darnold could play another 15 years+. If Darnold takes them to the Superbowl or very close, JJ will have to be available because you cannot move off Darnold and JJ will never see the field within his rookie deal, outside injury.

Why should we bring in a guy like Mason for example who we already know is not good? Why not identify our guy and get the process started? My point is over the history of the NFL Bridge QBs are in the majority of the cases no better than a rookie. Why didn't you include Winston, Lock, Mack Jones, Mason, Jimmy G. Those are Bridge QBs who all stink.
