Very fine and correct comments on TV. Most of the teams played without crucial players regarding last WCh. In Serbia alone the best setter Maja, best blocker Rasic, second blocker Veljkovic. most reliable Malesevic and one of the best liberos were missing, second pointer Brankica out of forme, in fact complete line was changed. And they won 12 out of 12 games, with new coach, winning two times domestic Poland and USA. Total domination, their mental status was fantastic all over the turnament.

Congrats to Serbia team! They deserved the win. As for the loss of the US team, as a fan I am sad but totally not surprised. This loss was already spelled out in the loss to Poland and the difficult win over Thailand. The truth is that this is the farthest this US team can go in this tournament (and in any other future tournaments). They could never beat Serbia team (or Brazil team or Italy teams) if this coach keeps rejecting or not recruiting champions (like Katheryn, Dana, Larson...). Why choosing Bajema over Katheryn? Why not building a blocking wall around Dana? Where is Foecke? The US could certainly have a better team to win any championships, but this will never happen as long as this coach is still around... Sorry for the harsh words...no more comment from me...

Volleyball is a complicated sport that has many approaches. Bošković might win most of the points..but ask any vollyball expert and they'll say that the most important players in this team are Buša and Drča. Buša is targeted on the reception (mostly) and if she is not receiving well Bošković efficiency goes down. If you just compare the statistics of well received balls by Buša and Bošković efficiency you'll see the correlation. Buša is in a way the weakest link of this team (putting it simply for the sake of explaining how valleyball works). Performance of the weakest link is in a direct correlation with how many 'in system' plays you'll have. Drča is the setter in Serbia team and if you know anything about the sport in question there is no need for explanation. 🤷‍♂️ For generations Serbia has had this approach to valleyball and this generation has had the most success in executing the approach. It speaks volumes on the quality of Buša as an OH.

Maybe you can say that the performance of the OH like Busa is crucial for the success of the whole team cause they arent consistent at all, but without tijana, serbian team is just another team in the championship. So i wouldnt really say that THE MOST IMPORTANT player is busa (or drca), maybe change up the phrasing of your thoughts :)

I agree with you brother. The correlation between Busa and Bošković performances in Serbia's team play is pretty high, and with Santarelli in the helm 2 golds in a row have a very high chance.

USA coaching is questionable. They need Plummer. Bajema is nowhere near as tested and ready. Franti’s defense may be slightly better but Plummer offense is very needed on the USA roster

We need MBH and Thompson back next year on VNL and in the Olympics 2024! Big fan of USA. Sad to see that they lost. What happened to their reception and attacks :( Drews barely kills the ball anymore and Allie Bajema and Cook's reception is not that good. Many out of system plays :(

Mery you do not know much about sport, for instance, Serbia has 11 wins in a row, is a defending world champion , one player can not do that, its always the team, as my frend explained, i would also add libero pusic...what they do in defense is astonishing...and the match was not boring, almost went to 5 sets, as yesterday,what also was way way way from boring against Poland.
