Tithe Farming Guide - 25x4 Method

Hey, guys! *** IMPORTANT *** It's come to my attention that during the first cycle of 25 (planting the seeds), you can actually left click to water them and never ONCE use your can from your inventory. This IMMEDIETLY MAKES 20x5 dead content, HOWEVER you do have to move perfectly along the tiles I marked in the video. Using the can after planting the seed initially will still save you 1 tick, which is why left clicking to water them is riskier. However, using the can for all subsequent rounds (watering after planting seed 2nd and 3rd time), you will not save a tick. Just click the plants to water them. I hope this wasn't too confusing, but I missed this detail in the video (still better to click watering can on plant for the first round of every 25) :) Thanks for watching

Finally did a couple of 25s where I managed to harvest all 25 plants. It's really important that you get the planting and watering of the seeds right without mistakes, and do it fast. Make sure you are using the watering can on the seed asap after you plant, to save a tick and move on to the next plant as fast as possible. This way you can manage to harvest all 25 every time, you just gotta be FAST and make as few mistakes as possible. Once you've planted and watered the seeds the first time, it gets a bit more chill and you can relax. But still make sure your movement is still good so you can get back to the initial plant and harvest it before it dies.

@@ThePerfectG I've gotten the seed box, herb sack, and hat from tithe farm which are all the items I want! I think it's possible to do one more column of fruit but you'd have to literally be tick perfect. This method had a but of a learning curve but is really worth it if you like more click intensive gameplay.

When I made my iron I did this exactly from 34-70 before going into wintertodt (the ONLY skill that actually gives you GOOD rewards on your 99 FM wintertodt grind btw.) Glad they added a few QoL changes since, it was very tiring to alternate constantly between watering cans and stuff.

@@ThePerfectG Hehe, yeah I have afked quite a bunch before I did my WT grind on my iron, tried to see if getting 70 mining, fishing and farming was worth it and I can say that farming was the only skill worth leveling before the rest (I didn't lock my account out of all content, I just made sure to not go over 34 HP.) I got absolutely showered in ranarr and snapdragon seeds (and yew/magics for XP ofc.) to kickstart my account, sure you get a few better logs, ores and fish but they are in such low quantities even after ~600 kc (50-99 doing masses) that I could've just either get them from slayer ect. or get them myself at some point in just a few hours or maybe even less.. But yeah never ever struggled with prayer potions ect. never had to resort to master farmers- that kickstart will get you to a point where miscellania and slayer alone will supply you for a lifetime from my experience. (I finished the WT grind back in 2019)

I’m so sorry for the late reply. Settings are being silly lol but yea! The can does work. I’d actually suggest buying it first if you’re gunna be there a long time, for ease of wrist. If you’re only going for auto weed and herb sac, you might wanna consider skipping. I used can to easily water saplings though. But you can just use humidify for that and that’s even easier

Just did my first 4 hours of tithe farming and honestly… the 25 method is so unbelievably sweaty that I got stressed whenever I missed a few ticks because I just knew at least 1-2 plants would die. I ended up swapping to the 24 method and having 1 less plant made it way less stressful with always a couple seconds to spare. I guess the 25 method trained me to flawlessly do the 24 method for hours on end 😂 thanks for the guide!

Hmmm.. I’m not sure. There’s probably a plug-in I have but I have to double check later when I get on. At the very least, you can use inventory tags to highlight empty cans so you don’t use those.

it is absolutely true (IIRC)! However lol im too old, my wrist cant do that consistently enough so i'll lose some points overall in the end trying to save time lol I didnt do it on purpose, but perhaps i just need to practice it more. It wouldn't really be any more efficient than this (in face it might be worse, I don't know), but I feel like I could even throw in a couple extra plants and do 27 at a time without any dying. I tried doing 30 at once tick perfect yesterday for shits and giggles, and after they started dying I only managed to harvest 20. I wonder what the theoretical max is?

Well at the very least, the actual meta is doing5x20 and when you harvest you replant. That’s fully tick perfect and there’s always a growth cycle. But max I’m not sure haha I’d imagine 25 is close but it’s prolly cuz we used to only be able to do 100 at a time haha

this is impossible, the watering can animation is inconsistent and either goes off instantly or stalls you and has u standing afk like a lemon for 5 ticks regardless of whether u time it right or not every time atleast 4/5 die no matter how fast or tick perfect I am without making any missclicks not to mention the times when I actually manage to make it in time and then plants 3 squares up from the first one are dying before the timer on the first is even up

Maybe it’s changed since the update. I’ll have to check. But assuming it hadn’t, just keep it up! You can do it dude! It’s not the easiest thing to learn but the timing is very consistent. It’s just you can’t be too fast or too slow by a tick. Once you get that down it should be smooth sailing. Although, there’s only a few ticks that you can miss. Like 3-5 at most lol There’s a 20x5 method where you replant as you harvest which IIRC is literally tick perfect but neither is simple. Thanks for checkin out the vid beast! I know you can get it

@@ThePerfectG I ended up having to just do 24 patches and leave the very end one out at the south, even then still end up missing one or two if I mess up or relax too much not sure if its changed but even when I was hitting every plant, water and stepping perfect would just end up with a couple dying or the timers going out of sync and ones I planted later dying before the very first ones i planted spent like two hours trying and decided to just go with 24 for less stress and feeling like im constantly chasing getting it perfect, either way ty for the guide will be using this method to get my seed box n herb sack + maybe the outfit if I can bare anymore xd

Definitely. Prolly a bit easier if you’re used to mobile tbh. Just gotta get the timing down. Just in case though, you can hold alt and move your invo menu closer to the plants. I just had an someone harass me for using two plots...while we were the only two people in the minigame. This was my first time trying the minigame so I looked a guide afterward so I could try to understand why he was so upset, is this behavior expected when running into other players on this minigame?

Well if you do the 20x5 method you can use the 5 plots on the sides and another player can use the 5 plots on opposite side (4 plants per plot) but if you do the method here 25x4 you can only be one person per world

But yeah if they’re doing this method and you try to do 20x5 you’ll crash into their plants. Reason they seem so uptight is cause each game you have to plant 100, and you get 24 points (for the last 24, the first 76 give no points) so if someone crashed you mid game it can be very frustrating

With 25x4 it’s faster to finish game but if you take too long of a break a person less experienced in tithe farm may start farming and “not see u” lol so they just yoink the world. I believe you could just hop and not lose points but you don’t wanna do that if you’re mid cycle (plants planted)

It’s similar to trying to solo WT and you’re at 8k points and a random dude comes in asking to join and just starts lighting all the braziers lol it can be frustrating. Don’t take it personally! Shit happens and ppl take the game too seriously sometimes

hmm... with/without outfit is generally the same but around 19k xp/hr tier 1 seed / 69k ish tier 2 / 111k ish tier 3 this assumes you do 3 sets of 100 seeds per hour with this method. Thanks for checkin out the vid beast :D

Im really struggling to make the method shown work. I must be doing something incorrectly, but im losing like 2-5 fruits per 25 run, which is... bad. But I was able to do 1 perfect, I just cant replicate it. Not sure.

Hmm.. It's very Path specific when you initially plant the seeds. You have to plant and water the first time around losing as close to 0 ticks as you can get. When you do the 2nd/3rd rounds watering/harvesting it calms down but u still have to be a bit path specific. You could be having issues because the inventory and the plant spots are too far, making it more common to lose time? Consider looking at Stretched Mode (if you play resizeable). theres a portion in there to scale the UI to make inventory bigger. But as long as you get the first set through and follow the tile markers you should get it consistently soon! Thank you for checkin out the video duck! If you have more questions feel free to ask! True but sometimes it’s set up so if you have to move 1 tile you can and then 2 on the next one. It’s so you don’t make as many odd number pathing as possible. You can do just over 3 rounds of 100 per hour with 25x4. Why isn't it worth doing this for the xp? I feel like this is one of the only ways as a UIM I can boost my farming to get into the higher tiers of the farming guild and to farm high lvl herbs

Because farming outside of UIM is better longterm doing tree runs. If farming is your last 99 then ofc this would be great for xp or if you want to quickly get a level for something.

@@theventhatiqtho8112 yes of course but you're treating farming not as a passive skill then. Say you put 50 hours into tithe farm outside tree runs... then ur 99 farm but wasted 50 hours because those 50 hours could have been spent on another skill. Tree runs will be more time saved with good xp per hour overtime. If ur only goal on ur acc is 99 farm, then tithe will be fine. But runescape takes many hours to max, so saving time where u can is important. Max efficiency are tree runs and avoiding tithe altogether if going for 99 only.

that's awesome! thanks for replying :) This is absolutely true. Although... personally I liked doing tithe farm a little bit early game to boost to certain lvls. At 34 you can do it a little bit to get into the farming guild. its pretty decent xp after 74 to boost to get the lvl for hard contracts. I wouldn't say that's efficient though lol but i hate doing my tree runs lol

I optimized your tile markers, this will make it less click intensive yet still doesnt walk, everywhere where it says no move you just use the seed/can about 60-70%(8 walks / 14 no moves) of the tiles are negated this way. @@Son96601 sure! You may have to turn on the Tithe farm plug in on runelite. But notice in the vid when you put the seed in the ground, a circle shows up on top of it. That circle is how you know how long until it goes to the next growth cycle. So you have to water it before it finished growing (the circle) or it dies. So if you get the last 5 flowers you planted the timer will be almost empty. So you water those last ones and go to re water the first ones but the last ones finished growing and their timer starts again. So you just have to water them before their timer ( the circle ) finishes

So I have to go all the way around the rest of them before I get back to the first plants, at which point they almost always die.

Trueee it’s kind of a turn of phrase lol you only Gotta be tick perfect the first go around. When you water it there’s some leeway since there’s no delay if you miss a tick. Might help if you increase dpi for it :o as long as you’re moving the tiles and the initial 25 are smoothly watered you should get it. Took me a few tries at first too but it becomes muscle memory
