If Chelsea win, pressure is on Man City to win their match plus both Liverpool and Man United can close the gap to six points for the final Champions League spot. If Arsenal win, they go leave on points with Chelsea and City, which means City could potentially go three points clear on Sunday night. This a prelude to next week where Manchester and Merseyside derbies. Plus Chelsea and Arsenal are away to West Ham and Villa. We’re also going to be seeing most games across the pyramid played at the main club stadiums too.

Chelsea bottled twice where they could have been in a more comfortable position. They haven't been good against the contenders this season, loss to Arsenal and a draw and loss to City. Every game after the City loss is a must win. City has been winning and to be honest I can't see them dropping points and Arsenal can be tricky but I believe that if Chelsea draw or lose today the title is City's

They need to expand the league to 16 teams - so there’s atleast more room for error . 22 games in a season is ludicrous arsenals dropping points in the beginning of the season may cost them the title

I mean....that's sort of how it works. When teams drop a fair few points (relatively speaking), they may not win trophies, whatever the size of the league. Arsenal don't have a divine right to win the title. You could easily say that Chelsea dropping points is also likely to cost them the title too. If they lose to Arsenal, they are pretty screwed. For what it's worth I actually completely agree with you that the league needs to be expanded, but I'm more interested in improving the arc of the season for teams across the league as a whole rather than just easing Arsenal's way to the top.

Yes and no cause the Championship really needs to up their game. the levels between the WSL and the Championship are miles away. Also with so many fixtures, teams would only be losing their players to injuries and burn out. Biggest proof this season has to be Chelsea. Their players are dropping like flies, They have 9 injuries atm and they’re still competing for 4 competitions let alone almost all their players play internationally. When are the players gonna catch a break?
