Tim Follin made fantastic music, shame that most of the games he made music for weren't too good. The title theme for Solstice or a song from Plok could be a cool future cover
@Dr0dd7 жыл бұрын
The samples used for Plok are sooo good. You can basically already hear what it would be like played with "proper" instruments. As a child I loved to just let the game sit on the title screen and rock out.
@tailsfox456 жыл бұрын
Right? It's pure brilliance!
@janglur10 ай бұрын
@@Dr0ddPlok is one of alarmingly few games that even used a fraction of the SNES' sampling capability. Even in mainstream major titles a surprising amount of the SNES was underutilized. Not as criminally as the Genesis. But it really demonstrates how big and difficult the leap really was for game-makers at the time. Just comparing the launch Famicom games with end-of-life NES games shows the staggering depth of what 8-bit hardware could still do. The 16-bit age ended a bit prematurely as technology aggressively exceeded what we'd imaged before!

Excellent remix as always, Jonny. Was really happy that you got around to covering another track by the man himself, Tim Follin as he's definitely one of my favourite composers. Since I feel like it, I'm gonna suggest a few Follin tracks that I think would fit your style very well: Title Theme from Chronos Title theme from Solstice Title theme from Treasure Master Something from the Plok (preferably the Boss Battle theme, Akrillic or Beach but honestly, a lot of the music from that game is amazing so I don't care all that much) Boss Battle Theme from Equinox Title Theme from Gauntlet III I won't list anymore cause there's a lot to choose from but even if you never feel like remixing any of these, then I hope you at least enjoy listening to them if you get the chance.
