At the end of the day its a putter, how much can they do? If you have a good putter, you can line it up and it works for your stroke then you are set. What additional "technology" or design concept is going to add to that?

Dang, lots of Cameron hate in here. I always thought they were just too expensive to even consider. I've played golf for the last 24 years and have had 4 putters. A Top Flight, Seemore, Odyssey, and now I'm playing an SC Super Select GOLO 6. After trying many different putters these past few months, that one was the one that performed best for me. It sucks that it cost 450, but I don't buy putters every year so...whatever. A driver is generally more expensive than a putter and I use a putter on just about every hole I play.

Putters last years, and its the most important club in your bag, "drive for show, putt for dough".. 450 isnt a bad price for a nice putter when most people drop 600 on a new driver that theyll replace in a year or 2.

Don’t think Scotty Cameron hold the same reverence they once had. Their price point just makes you look at other very high quality products that are maybe £100 or £150 cheaper. (And the others are still not cheap). Feels like most putter manufacturers are just rebadging the wheel and calling it a wheel + . Odyssey are just as bad with all this AI guff and charging another £100 +

They really don’t and they continuously are going back-and-forth between using things like inserts and not using inserts and is that in the other honestly I just want a single piece forged mild putter head with no weight inserts and no face inserts and none of that crap just keep it simple that’s why I play an original classic

Had 2 Scotty’s sold them both Now got Cleveland HB soft milled face putter. Hell could buy 2 Cleveland putters plus a dozen pro v1’s for the same price of one Scotty

Picked up used Cleveland Frontline all blacked out putter for 40£ and replaced my Scotty Phantom as my current gamer. Yeah, you can get a proper butter for tenth of the prize. I am still hot on the 5.5 but will see and certainly compare other putters in a lab

I like the newer styles for the alignment aspect. Their mallets were kinda funky looking before. In the end, its not more functional than some other lower cost brand putters. You're paying for the name, quality machining, and aesthetics. The do hold their value much better than others tho tbh.

Glad I got my Phantom 9 model last year, this year’s 9 and 11 are a big miss visually. Not a fan and I’d buy (just about) anything Scotty made before those.

Agree, I am on same page. In 2018 I looked at both and went with the Phantom 7.5. Today I would test both on a Sam putt lab and see which comes on top

Nice sales presentation! Just had a putt off last night and my old Ping patented In April 1968 won for the best feel!! I brought out all of my putters and there really wasn’t that much difference in putting except for the size of the grip and weight of the putter. Blades with toe hangs, face balanced mallets, et al. I had putters I had forgotten about from 20 - 30 years ago up until 1 year ago out yesterday. After the test of putters from various high end manufacturers and customs it Was a wash… My wife finally said if Paul Runyan could see all of this now he would just walk away. As he did with me on a few Occasions! Complete waste of money! But I’m looking at a custom Ping DS 72 with a long slant!! It never stops…
