My Mom never understood why I liked pro wrestling, but during the last year while she was dying of cancer, she wanted me to be with her and said go ahead and turn on wrestling. She would laugh so hard at Bobby and Gorilla throwing verbal jabs at each other, while they were hosting. Bobby never knew the joy he brought her. I saw him quite a few times wrestling and managing in the 60s and 70s, both at the Chicago Amphitheater and the Hammond Civic center.

He was good at his craft, very funny and greatly experienced, yea we get it, but on every video for any star, there are 200 comments on this person being THE greatest at something that ever lived,; mostly a bunch of kids caught up in the moment to impress others in the section of their extreme adulation and can't recognize someone was one of the best, ...blah, blah...Like he stated, and some in the business didn't like it, he was basically a form of comic relief (on the heel side) for wrestling, there were those knowledgeable of the holds such as Soley, bodily make-up, ligaments, bones, muscles, like Monsoon was, etc., As for general announcing, Vince was very proficient, skilled and articulate before the days of the Mr. McMahon character, and they were all very good, maybe even better.

Listening to this i really miss those days. I grew up watching the WWF starting in 85 when i was 12 years old. Ive been to so many live shows. Ive seen all the WWF greats in person. Me and my brother watched every weekend, we watched every Saturday nights main event. We recorded all of them on vhs and i still have most of them. My brother was 4 years younger than me and we were buddies who loved wrestling. That was 85 to the 90s. We love Hulk and Macho, demolition, bulldogs, hart foundation, jake the snake, andre and Bobby the Brain and just about the rest of them. We later loved Austin and Rock when we were in our 20s. Iam now 50 years old. My brother died 2 years ago from liver failure. The day before he died i sat with him in the hospital, he was awake but he couldnt talk. I sat with him and played wrestling on my phone while i held his hand. We watched Hogan and Macho on Saturday nights main event and we watched the Rock concert and some Austin. At my brothers funeral i did a eulogy at the end i told our life of wrestling and i said i would meet Stone Cold Steve Austin and tell him about my brother. Last september i met our hero. I live in nevada and steve lives close to us. He races offroad and comes to my small town alot. Steve signed an autograph to my brother and this memorial day 2024 my whole family and i are taking it to his grave and giving it to him. Im putting the autograph on his cross.

Absolute class of his own. I believe it was Cornette that said all other managers can only hope to compete with each other for a distance 2nd compared to Bobby

Is he tho? He swore wrestling was dead cause the magic was gone and here we are 20 years later and going into another boom again. Most of what he said was right but not that lol

@marcuserickson4488 I don't see it. I feel like wwe is still the same, aew is all over the place, and wrestlers still wrestle the same. That new car smell wearing off.

21 minutes in and he perfectly explained why business and work is so bad nowadays. Everybody knows the trades and the secrets. Gatekeepers always played a good part in society. Everybody’s a plumber, everybody’s a salesman, but everybody isn’t fit for the position. The world is diluted with too much information and the market is over saturated now. You can’t make money like the old days.

Bobby was the greatest! He was super funny and very down to earth! I mer him one on one when he actually came up to me at a wrestling convention and told me a joke about paying off the mortgage on his house. And this legendary manager actually flattered me by saying that i should be a wrestling manager because i had the look.bobby actually came up to me! It was in king of prussia pa. I actually could talk with him one on one! Bobby was super funny and the greatest guy! Rip bobby. I love you and miss you brother! Ron marcella

My god this guy was incredible. The best ever outside the ring as a Manager, in commentary, and was also amazing in the ring. He isn't the best but is in the top one!

@ 40:20 Bobby says The Weasel Suit matches with Greg Gagne were great. @ 44:35 Bobby lists The High Flyers, Brunzel and Gagne as amongst his favorites to work with. When THE GOAT says you were great to work with, it must be true. God bless Bobby Heenan.

An A&E Biography or Dark Side about The Brain would be great. A series about managers by Vice or A&E wouldn’t be a bad idea.

When life is really, really getting me down I watch this. I’ve watched 20 times I bet. The best part is when he describes his admiration for Gorilla Monsoon. “He was a gentleman…”. I hope someone speaks about me when I’m gone. Bobby Heenan was the greatest of all time. I wish he was alive just so I could hear him talk about anything and everything.
