Hi Phil, First, thanks so much for the video! Unfortunately, there seems to be no way to do a gradient fill with the new titles, and the gradient fill in the "legacy title" seems to be broken. Every time I create a gradient fill, premiere ignores and deletes it when I exit the "legacy title" editor. Have you encountered this? Do you have any suggestions for things I could try? Thanks in advance!
@aarongrooves6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the response. That's a shame that you have to switch to another program to achieve something so simple. Doesn't it seem odd that the 3-years-ago version of Premiere had capabilities that are impossible today?
@aarongrooves6 жыл бұрын
So, in essence, they are sabotaging their own software in an effort to increase sales. It could be unintentional, but I refuse to believe that there is no one on their payroll aware of these issues, especially considering the plethora of complaints on adobe's own forum.

As someone who used to have to stack a dozen vertical layers of different text and objects in the timeline, I am personally thrilled to see how Adobe has finally made styles and effects manageable and repeatable. It's about time! However, I also absolutely HATE having to re-learn an application when major upgrades are done. This is so much easier to use, though.

Also thanks for explaining that when i copy and paste something that it is its own independent text and when i manipulate it it doesn't change every other place i have used that title. I used to have to duplicate a layer or many layers which was a pain. Sometimes i would forget to do it and when i rendered the video i could see the last changes to a title now appearing in the beginning as well. This is so cool!

I suggest that you will make projects as you did with PS AI and ID. and while doing the projects we will learn to use the program so that way we will get right to the work (jump into the water).
