Smart guy. He quit while he was ahead. That is why he is still alive, while most of his contemporaries have died due to various causes that wrestlers die from. Of the clips shown, Savage, Perfect, Warrior, Neidhart, etc. are dead.
@ariesmichaelsayan40133 жыл бұрын
He actually takes good care of himself. He had a very long career. He was not like the other wrestlers. He went to college and got his degree. He had multiple talents and had his priorities straight. Make money and take care of his family. A wrestler, commentator, teacher, and an actor among other things. Just an amazing man!!

I believe WWF was his first run. Vince Sr saw potential in Santana. He had Santana go work in other areas to hone his skills and when Vince Sr thought he was ready to told Santana it was time to come home, as it were.

Great story and to know he's doing well when others in the WWE didn't. The irony is one wrestler he was in the ring with, George "The Animal" Steele, had a Masters and PH.D in education but the pay for teachers in Michigan (in the 1960s) was so low, he became a wrestler earning far more. (don't know if he ever went back to teaching.)
