Do you have a playlist where you have covered every single thing for paper 3?
@chemistrytutor
@chemistrytutor 10 ай бұрын
Not really... Paper 3 is a funny one in that literally everything could be on it. It's particularly focused on any kind of practical investigation... it doesn't have to be a required practical even, but a large part of the paper will be practical content. Therefore its really difficult to do a specific paper 3 list and expect to cover it all

Hi, 2 questions please. Number 1) is your content suitable for CAIE A level chemistry? Number 2) Do you have a specific video regarding titration curves? many thanks
@chemistrytutor
@chemistrytutor 2 жыл бұрын
Hi there, yes definitely suitable for that 😃 I've made a question walkthrough rather than an explanation video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/al62aqiFiMaGjMk

Why do all your burette readings show the 50 cm3 mark at the TOP of the burette, and 0 cm3 at the BOTTOM near the tap? Every real burette I have used in my life has its scale running from 0 cm3 at the TOP and 50 cm3 at the bottom near the tap. The difference between the initial and final readings (the titre volume) is the same as you describe, but the scale on actual burettes is different from your description.

hi sir this vid was so helpful! I was just wondering, how exactly does leaving a funnel in the burette decrease the titre volume, doesn't it increase it if there are drops being added. Thanks!
@chemistrytutor
@chemistrytutor Жыл бұрын
Thank you! Glad it was useful! The drops from the end of the funnel drop down into the burette. So it appears that less has been added than it actually has. Its a bit like the burette is topped up part way through the experiment

Sir i was wondering if rinsing the burette with the alkali solution ur using is viable cause that was something i wrote to increase accuracy of the final result instead of using only distilled water in the mocks😅😢
@chemistrytutor
@chemistrytutor Жыл бұрын
You shokld always rinse the burette with whatever solution you're going to put in it. You shouldn't rinse the burette with distilled water as that will dilute whatever solution you put into it, so your titre volume would be too high. The only thing you should rinse with distilled water is the conical flask during and after a titration

@user-dc8sc8tg7w it's a great question, and honestly it's quite hard for me to answer, not knowing you, or how well you're understanding the content right now. You've got 4 or 5 months until the end of the course, so there is absolutely enough time I'd say. It depends how you want to spend your time really and how confident you feel. My advice if you're confident, is to start with exam questions. Go looking for your problems. If you can do a question, great... you've learned something. If not, that's when you hit the books and try to improve your understanding
