I believe this collects all bonuses and all lamps -- I don't know any bonuses in the game that this run misses. Outstanding work, congratulations! I'll accept it this weekend on the leaderboards and reword the 100% rules to include bonuses and lamps, and exclude padlocks. I imagine the padlocks would make the run really nasty, excluding some vital death warps that you use for safety?

Thanks! There are some levees (e.g. 8 and 9) on which it is not possible to collect all the padlocks without completely resetting the game. But after the reset everything is renewed, so you can't really collect all the bonuses/padlock/codes at once.

Wow, glad I just found this. Great work ! Why do credits appear multiple times, especially before completing levels ? Caused by your recording hotkeys, or something ? (And also, how to display it ? Pressing "ctrl-alt-space-Q" didn't give me any result on my original Moktar)
@speedylff521710 ай бұрын
No hotkeys. From: ttf.mine.nu/secrets.htm "Similar to the above, but more useful: press LeftCtrl+LeftAlt+Q instead. At first sight there is no difference to W, however if you have at least ten extra bonuses, they will be converted to an extra life! Just like happens normally after completing a level. This way, extra bonuses are useful in the same level where you find them! (credits to the OpenTitus team for this one)." So you don't have to wait at the end of the level for convertion extra bonuses into lives, you can do it much faster manualy.

@@speedylff5217 Thanks for answering so fast. I just noticed it was in your non-100%'s description, and can confirm this feature just wasn't available on the original game (Moktar), which is the version I always knew/played with, since I'm actually french. (btw, I grabbed a TTF version to check for it, and Ctrl-Alt-Q works normally) I also note I have 2 different codes for lvl 2&5. The weird exploit about this seems TTF-specific. (or related to some version ? Picked mine up on Abandonia, and it includes at least a trainer, so I'd kinda question this version :p) -- Also, strategy wise, your runs look near-perfect, but I'm puzzled with the choice of not grabbing one object to shoot the drunkard at the very start of lvl 4. Is the jump that safe, and the "boost" from getting one bottle hit really worth this risk (this did cost you like 3 seconds, on your 14:32 run xD)

@@balmipour Very interesting, we didn't know that Ctrl-Alt-Q doesn't work in some versions of TTF. It seems that some versions will be faster than others. We also weren't sure if the codes for level 2 and level 5 are always the same, and there was almost no conversation about this on the discord channel www.speedrun.com/titus/forums/xsax0. We know that codes are generated differently for different hardware devices, but all players was using the same DOSBoxcc]. Starting at level 4 is easy and if you are focused, it will succeed 99.9% of the time. Overall, I tried to show a way to move through the levels in closer to optimal way than safe way. As you can see from the number of reported results on speedrun.com, no one plays this game, so you can afford to make a lot of mistakes.

@@balmipour Where are the links? Ball glitch is not trivial to perform in this form, you can see time-lapse what buttons I press. Instead, there is a second - super easy way to press balls into the wall, which you can see here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bKfGnHuDecqHpaM
@balmipour10 ай бұрын
@@speedylff5217 Indeed, the hit trick looks easier xD I'll check the keypresses and try it (just out of curiosity, wont run on a game so masterfully done anyway) For the links : 1) Looks like I forgot pasting the one with the intro screen in my previous comment. Edited & fixed now. (video is loud & laggy, but my other links were missing the launch screen) 2) The links of all levels are posted in this same video, just as a separate comment. Maybe YT just skipped giving a 2nd notification. Extra question : is it well known that padlocks make you reappear at the place you were when you grabbed them ? (and not at the place where they actually stand ?) I just died to grabbing the one in the spike pit of level 9 (bottom path, 1st pit after ghost / 2 scorpions / fakir) from the pit side, and reappearing over the spikes instead of the platform :p This also made me understand why the padlock at lighthouse entrance (Moktar lvl 12, removed in TTF) was usually deadly, but not always : picked-up from the right, it's actually ok. ... do people know about this ? (I doubt this could enable any new exploit, but hey... who knows :p)

3:55 :O I have missed something lol. (edit: forgot I had seen that before) Haven't seen the whole run yet but this seems promising

4:45, that was awesome! Yet another way to use out of bounds glitch. 18:47... You broke it! Anyway, crazy and creative stuff
