We have very different definitions of "hilarious." I don't think people being ripped off and disappointed is hilarious.

You’ve gotta laugh..clearly these people have a good enough sense of humour to see the funny side..I mean, some these are just absurd. But yeah, it also shows that there’s some really shady people out there, or incompetent ones, so be careful where you are ordering from online.
@laurakibben41479 ай бұрын
There have been shady people since the good old Brooklyn bridge salesmen and people harking snake oil. It's just that the Internet allowed for quicker access to the bull💩 and the gullible people both. I was catfished when Neve was still in diapers before catfished even became a word. The worst ones are these lovely ladies who just want one chance at being loved in their lives and send untold thousands to Nigerian "princes". THOSE guys need to be UNDER the jails!!!!

I ordered cat litter from Amazon during the pandemic and got a huge plastic container of diesel truck heavy duty motor oil instead. They never took it back. I never got the kitty litter.

Just collect the cat turds in a sack, dump the diesel oil on it and light it up. Problem solved! The neighbors might not be happy about it, but you work with what you have.

5:59 That's like asking the USPS for a refund for something you bought on eBay. DoorDash doesn't make the order.

Refund should have come from the restaurant, not door dash.🙄
@minacakes22 жыл бұрын
But DoorDash took her money and THEY paid the restaurant. Just like if you bought something on eBay but USPS lost it, you wouldn't get your refund from USPS you'd get it from eBay b/c that's who you paid even though they might have delivered the item to USPS.

I wouldn't be complaining if I was some of these people. The iPad are probably worth a lot more than the grill...I'd be selling them, buying a grill, and have a nice chunk of change left over. I'd definitely splurge on some nice Tbones for the new grill! The people who ordered the steering wheel got 2 for the price of one...and 144 toothbrushes that I'm sure a women's shelter would be happy to receive. The person who ordered the RAM got 10X what they paid for.

Had a simular incident with the shoes. Bought dress shoes online for my son's wedding. I did receive a left and right shoe...in a size 10 and 12. To make it worse, I wear 11s and the wedding was in a marshy area. My left foot being crushed all day and the right kept falling off!

Yep. Same thing happened to me with Wonder Woman boots 2 years ago for a Halloween costume. Bad enough that I had to go with a size smaller because they were out of my size, but when they arrived, I got 2 right boots. Had to pay for another pair to get them shipped to me and then, I was refunded the first payment after I shipped the wrong size back to them. Hot Topic online. Customer service girl on the phone was great by the way! They were quick about the process.

These things are cases of mail fraud y'all. Back in the day before internet, someone advertised a "how to get rich" book then mailed every buyer that sent their $29.95 payment a sheet of paper that had written on it, "Don't buy books called how to get rich for $29.95". Or something to that effect. Just quit shopping these damn companies and hit em where it hurts.

We have, too! We're pretty rural so it's not feasible to drive 1-2 hours each way for hard-to-find items. The only issues we've had were an obviously used and malfunctioning appliance, and a spray bottle which literally fell to pieces the second time it was used. Amazon sent call tags and had UPS show up quickly! Really, I shop local as much as possible but things like spices needed to make corned beef pickling liquid (for example) aren't going to be carried by our single grocery store or the local Walmart.
@dianebk20032 жыл бұрын
Some of these are honest mistakes, like the wrong item pulled or labels getting mixed up. It happens, and it's not particularly hilarious. People make mistakes. Then you've got the careless deliveries, ending up with smashed and damaged merchandise. Those are infuriating. THEN you've got the flat-out misleading ads and poor quality craftsmanship. THOSE can be funny, but only in a "can you BELIEVE this shit???" way. Half the time the problem is people not reading descriptions closely enough. I used to work for a company that was similar to ebay, only with specific companies being vetted to sell, mostly internationally. Some of our merchants were European, so the measurements would be metric. Well, on the whole, we Americans are dumb as a box of rocks when it comes to metric, so people would be ordering handpainted wooden mementos from Lithuania that said 14 centimeters, but of course see the 14 and assume inches. Then they'd call me (merchant services and support) and complain that they'd been mislead, lied to, ripped off...you name it, they'd scream it in my ear. I advised all the merchants to put measurements in metric AND "American", and, if possible, put the "American" measurements first or in bigger print. Complaints dropped dramatically after that. We Americans don't read the fine print and assume an awful lot, then end up sucker-punched when our purchases arrive. But those companies that are purposefully misleading? Most are in China, and if anything says it will ship from China - pass. No matter HOW good a deal it is or HOW pretty it looks in the picture. In fact, those are even MORE suspect.
