Tivo Stream 4k how to add 400 gigs of storage and a usb remote

I just received my Tivo Stream 4K yesterday. Only problem i had was activating the device using Google Chrome, i had to use Safari. I also added more storage a 128GB SanDisk Ultra Fit USB 3.1 flash drive, with a QVS USB-C to USB 3.1 adapter from Micro Center; worked like a charm! Should you setup the storage as removable or main storage?

How do you stream the shared folders from my PC or NAS to be played back on the Tivo Stream 4K? I don't see it under the storage option like I do on my Nvidia Shield.

DANG 400 GIG, I BARELY USE 64..LOL, I ALWAYS LIKE YOUR AND DEREAL VIDEOS. YALL TAKE THE TIME TO EXPLAIN AND EDUCATE TO WHERE THE END USER WILL UNDERSTAND. I BE HAPPY TO SEE SOME COOKING VIDEOS, EVEN THOUGH I MIGHT NOT EAT THE FOOD YOU EAT. LIKE SEEING THE WAY YOU PREPARE YOUR FOOD.

Doesn't the storage have to be setup before using? TripleM shows it requires format, once setup it's not clear on removal. It would also be nice to know the format type.

In this video I mentioned that you can tap the icon that says format sd card ots pretty simple just follow the on screen prompts takes like 2 minutes once formatted it have to remain connected to the device

Use downloader and filelinked the same way you would on the firestick. It's the same process for all Android boxes.

I added a 32gb thumbdrive and it moved some of my apps. When I try to download more apps it said it was full. But it's not. A message about migrating data appears on the main storage. Should I move it so clear up storage?

I'm thinking about getting one, but cant see the reason due to me already having 3 4k firesticks at the crib already...? What would I do different? Add more apps (not really)? Add movies to storage (not really)? I would add the same APK's im currently using on my sticks and then what else? Help me understand how this will change the game...?

Since you have "3" 4k firesticks you may not "need" the Tivo 4K. The Device is still very new and with future Android TV OS updates other features might be possible that may appeal to others especially those who have neither 4k firestick or Tivo 4k now they have options ;)

That would be hardware, but you could use a USB Ethernet Adapter... plenty on Amazon all price ranges

I added apps to the external but they are painfully slow. The external usb for me is just too slow. I tried 3 different drives and when I tried using an Sd card like your set up it wouldn’t recognize it. Only a 64gb not even 400

Same issue here, apps running on my external usb flash drive are extremely slow. One of my apps even crashed on me. I ordered another flash drive, don't know if that will fix the issue.

I can’t wait to get mines as a reseller I’m going to sell them like hotcakes the only thing I dislike I need the usb to Ethernet adapter to work properly as thats important to me for some of my customers that has so so internet because I just can’t rely on WiFi
