So many things to be impressed about. Any available stats? How are the motors designed to eliminate water ingress and how soon will neural nets be incorporated for platform stabilization?

Really interesting concept. Given the vast difference in density between water and air, I'm impressed that the propellers work well enough for motion in both. Given that, it looks like it's much more optimized for air travel. Also, what's the communications scheme for underwater look like? Given how poorly EM radiation travels in that high density environment, there'd have to be some sort of shift to a sonar based communications scheme for anything more than what, ten, twenty feet underwater or so? Still, cool concept.

From their paper, it seems that they use a 900MHz RF. Maybe they put the transmitter close to the drone when it's underwater.

Cool, but not that cool. Show me a demo of getting signal beyond a couple feet. You can water proof drones with conformal coating and go that far. The problem is getting the signal any distance. There are videos of regular freestyle FPV quads landing in pools and taking off from the bottom of the pool with just conformal coating. show me, exploring the skies and then a lake and then I want one.
