You don't have to use the table runners on a dining table -- I buy them for my dresser and change them when the mood strikes me. Also, they look great on a coffee table! I am coveting all the plates and bowls you are looking at! It may sound strange, but I found a few really fun finds at a Lowes Home Improvement store. An hourglass filled with red sand with a large spider adorning it, various faux animal skeletons, and in the outdoor furnishings, lots of throw pillows in spooky designs. There was one with a stitched spiderweb and a little purple velvet spider on it and I immediately thought of you.

Target seems to be doing quite a few black and purple themed items, saw a few skulls (velvet and otherwise) that came in either black or purple. Might be up your alley!

That crystal ball is EVERYTHING! I'd seen it posted on Instagram about a month ago, knew I needed it, but thought I'd probably miss out. Thankfully I found two at my local TJ Maxx last Thursday! I bought one and my co-worker bought the other one for her sister. It's my favorite Halloween item this year! As a current associate working at a HomeGoods, I must say you need to start hitting all three stores as soon as July. It also helps to call the stores and find out their truck days, that's when you'll have better luck finding full sets of those spooky floral skeleton dinner plates and other gothic items! Every year I see those plates come in and every year I hesitate and miss out, lol. There's also these beautiful all black wine goblets that I've missed out on because I don't have much time to drive around town looking for them. There's still some hope, though. We stop getting Halloween decorations around mid October, if I remember well.

Ross is one of the best spots around here, hand towels specifically there tend to have more gothic designs that aren't the usual comical ones. I found a roses and black skull set there just the other day.

This series does give me cheer, It has led me to go in search of tasteful Halloween ornaments and items to adorn my lair. Alas, however I am somewhat between lairs at the moment and though the variant of TJ Maxx to be found in my land, has provided a number of such accoutrements, I am bereft of space and use for the nicest items.

My husband and I received that newly dead statue as a wedding gift a couple of years ago. I live in Canada. I visit different locations of Homesense, Winners(which are like Home Goods/TJ Maxx in the U.S) and Marshall's and you are right each store carries slightly different items. They carry the same items like in the U.S. Great haul!

Ultrajet I live in the South so we usually get some pretty cool stuff. I have found some awesome hidden gems. This year I have found some great bat decor and skull decor as well. I'm not sure about every Spirit store, but mine is a super store and it has its own home decor section. Past years it's been filled with Nightmare before Christmas. But this year it's filled with Ouija boards, classic skulls, bats, and fortune telling like stuff. It seems to be getting better and better each year. At least it is for home decor.

Those skeletal wine goblets look very similar to plastic ones they had at dollar tree this year though they were stemless and only the bones were black. They also had plastic champagne flutes.

I got the headless horseman statue, i also found a giant all wood midevil post sign as tall as me that says sleepy hallow bed and breakfast with the headless horseman silhouette, i also got those candleabra in black and i found a table cloth like the table runner you found.

I got the neatest decoration for my yard cemetery at Walmart this year, it's 2 lifsized, good quality skeletons carrying a coffin which doubles as a cooler for beverages. Also Home Depot is killing it this year with two talking pirate skeletons for under $100 and an actual pirate ship with the pirate at the helm for $329.

You should try Target! It's usually got some nice non-kitschy pieces, especially for the kitchen/dining area. Also, I think you would probably get the most out of stores like Pier 1 and Crate & Barrel, which tend to sell really nice things for hosting Halloween parties. I've loved the Pier 1 skeleton champagne flutes (I believe it's a whole set with other types of glasses as well) and the Crate & Barrel black vine wreath for a looooong time.

I have been having the same problem with those skeleton wine glasses. It took me 2 stores, 1 local tj max and 1 out of town home goods to get a set of 2 tall stemmed glasses and 2 short non-stemmed wine glasses with the hand wrapping around them. They were all spread out over the stores too. I have never seen the black glass ones, guess I need to go check out my local marshals for them. Thanks for the tip that they are owned by the same company!!
