Another easy upgrade is installing a lightweight battery. Dirt bike batteries are mounted up so high that switching to a lightweight battery helps with the overall balance of the bike.

I’ve been running an oil company for 15 years now and quick fix for the stain is kitty litter… rub it in until turns to powder then sweep up .. if it’s really bad “ oil dri “ makes a powder product…. Love the veilside can’t wait to see it rip … incredible build

With four strokes that “high flow cat” is actually an expansion chamber similar to 2 strokes. Helps with power delivery. Next mods need to be Rekcluse clutch, foot pegs, grips, and to set your suspension for your weight with full gear. Suspension setup will be a night & day difference, probably THE most important mod you can do.

a trick for oil stains on driveways is throw a shovel of dry dirt over it and let it sit before you scrub it. the dirt pulls a lot of the oil out of the brick/concrete

The Athena GET ECU will really help with that throttle hesitation and engine dying when blipping the throttle. Bike will run soooo crispy with one. It’s a must do mod on those bikes 🤙

Try a torch on the stains tj. If it gets too hot it can cause some chipping. But it might burn it out of the brick instantly and is worth a shot in a small test area.

I'm an ex-racer like you, but I have been in and around the world of MX my entire career. Get your suspension set-up / kit first. Power is always second to having a bike that is comfortable and predictable for your style of riding. ...Same as cars... you can have all the power in the world, but if the vehicle doesn't handle right, it's just dangerous - Have fun, nice ride!! ( I would buy a Pro Circuit or FMF muffler and pipe too. )

Please get a ecu for the bike what you experience there with that tiny blip of the throttle is called flame out. It’s from the bike being corked up very popular problem and sucks when it happens on a trail. ECU can fix that problem.

If the oil is still wet cat litter is really good for soaking it all up then use a product esp if it's a spill in the shop! Make for an easy clean up!!! Must try!!!

For other mods, do some wraparound hand guards, seat cover. I’d also recommend to take all the stock plastics off and replace them with aftermarket and graphics. Makes it a lot easier if you were ever going to sell it again.

TJ!!! Get a lower linkage for the rear suspension! It will lower the bike 1” / 1.5” / 2”. All depending how much of a drop you want. They are cheap, and well worth it. It will make the bike handle ALOT better.

It will not handle a lot better. Think about it…you’re changing the geometry drastically from what the engineers designed the bike for. He just needs to send his suspension off to a reputable company and that will help tremendously.

For the oil stains, get a cheap 40v kobalt or equivalent pressure washer, it will take those stains right off. I have a kobalt and it comes with a hose I can just put into a bucket or I can hook up to a garden hose. I live in an apartment and don't have a hose hookup but I can rinse, wash, and rinse a car and still have battery left, and if I have it on the highest setting I can clean the concrete

For oil stains, I have had great luck with covering the stain with clay cat litter and then grinding it into the concrete with your foot kind of like you're doing the stanky leg and then leaving it there to soak up the oil for at least a few days. I have heard you can do the same with portland cement but I've never tried that and you have to be careful not to get water on it. I have also heard good things about blasting the stain with a ton of brake clean and then soaking it up with a rag.

Hey TJ get the suspension valved for the terrain you ride on. The difference is absolutely huge. And id say get the semi paddel tire that dunlop makes called geomax mx14 it will handle sand wayyyy better than whatever its running factory

Purple simple green and let it bake in the sun. No scrubbing needed. But you may have to hit it a couple times. Use it straight don’t dilute.

I had the fmf power bomb header and changed the tone of the exhaust (not louder). I liked it a lot. Convert it tosupermoto and you will have lots of fun.

I have a workshop and for the oil stains on the brick pavers I use Liquid Pool Acid, it works like magic (just pour it on the oil, scrub with a hard broom or brush and rinse with water)

the P226 is a dream gun of mine! but, gun prices here in Australia are crazy. I had an Sig 1911 nightmare chambered in .357 sig, got it from a gun shop 2nd hand and it still cost me $1500 AUD. A brand new clock 17 here in Australia is about $1100 AUD.

Can you move the bricks around? Maybe get a bunch of extra and rotate them in through areas that aren't seen such, so you move existing bricks that have evenly weathered and won't stick out as much. Hope that makes sense.

That bike needs a fueling fix (ECU flash) for sure, you can hear it bog when you rev it off the bottom, the header will also 100% add power and likely play with your powerband to make it more fun.

For the driveway I recommend doing what you do but instead do the brush use a high power pressure washer from like Home Depot you can get like a Suburu one and the clean oil satins with such ease that it’s frightening so that’s what has worked for me I cleaned oil coolant and like paint stains out of my driveway

Im sure someone has already said it but that popping is the bike leaning out. Most bikes these days come factory tuned lean that's why everyone has them tuned. I'd be carefully ripping to hard with that pipe on factory tune

Best cure for oil stains is a road torch (asphalt torch) burns it right out and you don’t have residue after or a clean spot

Ecu will help with the flame out I have a 23 crf450rl and I put a vortex ecu on it and it completely changed the way the bike acts you’ll be much happier with the bike

Oil eater with a broom with a hose. It will be bran new best concrete cleaner ive ever seen. Its safe for ur cloths also..... purple power works good with a broom also.
