That G1 Arcee is one of the most pleasant surprises we've ever had in Transformers. We can finally complete our G1 86 cast. It would be cool if they do Ironhide and Ratchet as well, how they would've looked like if their toys were as accurate as say, Prowl, Jazz, or Sideswipe.

Rattrap's rat head looks to work the same as Cheetor. It's still there in the torso, you can tell that the ears are the same, the rest of the rat face is a faux part ofc

They aren't engineering a G1 Arcee with a G1 mindset and that's disappointing, because it looks like a modern toy and not G1. You could literally take the example G1 alt mode and just Gobot-fy it to flip the head and limbs out, even putting in flip out feet/heels and hands. Even make the car/model a bit larger, you can do that, you can make her a slightly big girl, I don't mind.

On Masterpiece Rattrap, the rat head on the robot's chest is fake, but the ears are real, so I'm betting the beast head folds under the chest, similar to Masterpiece Cheetor.

3:20 well, last time they did release the SS figs near the release of the movie we got a bunch of inaccurate looking figures that everybody complained about (Scourge, Nightbird, Mirage, Arcee etc) because they were based off of concept art. we are just now finally getting a movie accurate BBM Bumblebee. and even right now with TFOne Optimus and Megs we got some pretty inaccurate figures that people like to complain about. i get what you mean, it's a bummer to have to wait, but Hasbro should be holding back on the Studio Series until it's good, like they are for Elita and Sentinel. they are supposed to be as accurate as they can make them, and naturally you'd want to wait for the movie to be out before you start making them. what they should be doing at the height of the movie is release a lot of Mainline toys. kids probably won't care if the Orion was based off of concept art as long as it mostly looks like him. instead, now we got another lose-lose scenario where SS102 has a weird grey that's accurate only to concept art while Mainline Optimus / Orion doesn't scale well cus it's mainline even if it technically looks better. i will gladly wait for my Studio Series Sentinel and Elita.

I never felt Arcee's prototype really fit the G1 toy aesthetic. I think Missing Link Arcee is hampered by trying to be so visually faithful to an unfinished prototype that managed to neither be functional nor look even remotely decent. I'd rather they'd started from scratch from her vehicle mode, following G1 techniques to make whatever robot they could manage, and then bumped up the joint tech.

Predaking’s thighs are just straight up Razorclaw’s legs. Half of the thighs form the shins and the rest are just hips. That’s why Razorclaw is huge compared to others so they could go for the traditional way before the combining skeleton is a common thing. This Predaking structural design and scale wise give me a strong vibe of Energon Combiners

To be fair, Nucleon Quest Superconvoy actually *is* a straight up repaint of Super Ginrai, whilst Fire Guts is a repaint of the full God Ginrai, so we probably won't see that until after MPG14 & MPG14S Godbomber comes out. 10:43 ...yeah, I needed to see different angles, but that guitar is the Matrix. This is SIIIIIICK!!! 😎😎😎 11:48 Sunstreaker & Cordon, but surprisingly no Spinout?? 16:14 This could be the best IDW Hot Rod ever made. And the quality & price point had better reflect it. 18:02 This is what I'm lookin' forward to. This Predaking, albeit massively stylized, looks amazing. 22:58 Seems more traditional (and what CW/PotP Combiners attempted) to me. Razorclaw looks big enough that his legs ARE Predaking's thighs...unlike the garbage PotP version that had all the size real estate it could need but chose to cheat like hell in absosmurfinlutely ridonkalonkalously fugly ways instead. (I said what I said, PotP Predaking was hot garbage!!)
