You should use a 12 or 16 pin cartridge with your MN pen. The higher pin cartridges are unable to penetrate the full depth you have the dial on due to increased surface area. Collagen induction is only generated at .5mm. When the needles go to that depth. Higher count cartridges can only go up to .25mm even if you have the dial on 1.5mm. Lower needle counts are significantly more effective at collagen induction since they can actually penetrate the depth you put the dial one. Lower needle counts like a 12 or 16 pin are a HUGE upgrade to a microneedle regimen.

Just wondering if you have tried the device that looks like the same brand as your fave rf machine, but claims to have needles too? I did rf microneedling around my eyes in a salon. The trauma to the skin was so bad, the swelling lasted at least a month, and within twenty mins, the burning and was unbearable! I would consider doing it again but nowhere near the eyes. Strangeky, it also seemed to rehear and distribute some old filler that must have still veen there, and it has looked slightly swollen ever since- 18 months on. Anyhoo. Wondering if youve had any experience since this video withrf machines that heat probes beneath the service? Love your work, TJ. Greetings from Australia.

Would it not be more effective to do microneedling first and rf after??🤔
@TJTutorials4 жыл бұрын
It could well be. I was looking at things from a hygiene perspective. As I used a 1.5mm needle depth, I didn't want to put the RF wand on my skin after in case it picked up bacteria, etc between uses and entered the micro-wounds.(we have some pretty nasty stuff living on our skin, including staph.) So heat, cleanse and treat seemed the right way for me. The end results have been so much more than I expected. My eye wrinkles are almost completely gone and my face just feels firmer and tighter than it has done with either treatment alone. 😁

@@TJTutorials i understand. I just ordered my rf machine yesterday from aliexpress for 60 bucks🤪 the same as yours. And i have some dermaroller at home as well..im so excited to try it! Is it ok to use rf directly under the eye? Would it melt away my HA filler?😘
@TJTutorials4 жыл бұрын
What an absolute bargain! 😍 When it comes to RF and your eye filler, you'll be perfectly fine. Tear trough filler is inserted much deeper into the face than RF penetrates so the two will never meet. In fact, there have been a lot of studies showing RF doesn't cause fillers to break down at all 😁 I want to try filler at some point, but I'm not quite ready yet. Maybe next year. Who knows 🤗

Also the head that is on there...the smaller one, does not produce any heat at all...shouldn't it feel a little warm? Thank you!
@TJTutorials4 жыл бұрын
Hiiii. Thank you for the lovely compliments. It sounds like the device tip might have been screwed on too tightly. They should unscrew quite easily and then you pull on it to pop it out of the wand. The tip should only ever heat up once in contact with the skin. Place the tip onto the back of your hand (with a little conductive gel) select level 4 by pushing the right hand side button 4 times to light up 4 of the led lights, then press the on/off button. The lights should be flashing when it's on and you'll feel heat pretty quickly. If the lights aren't flashing, press the on/off button again. To remove the tip, grip it tightly on the metal part only and turn it counter clockwise. Also, disconnect and reconnect the white wand cord, making sure it's nice and tight. Let me know if this helps. 😊

Is there any reason you do the RF first? The microchannels made by Microneedling allow the RF to penetrate down into the skin easier and deeper ... that's the point of that combination.
@TJTutorials3 жыл бұрын
I done it this way as applying heat after microneedling is really painful. Plus there's a risk of pushing bacteria into the skin doing it like that. With a combined device, that's not an issue, but I filmed this before any combine RF MN was available. The way I do it allows me to take two treatment options that both work at different depths to stimulate collagen, and it works very well so that's the point of my combo like this 😊

Hey TJ Robert from Fort Lauderdale loved loved the video cracked up when you said you use alcohol which is the correct thing to do to sterilize all parts of the face when you started doing the dab dab dab remind me of the old Brylcreem commercial a little dab'll do ya and then of course your antics when you had your hands covered for the reveal it was almost like the Dyna Ross and The Supremes Stop in the Name of Love 1966 on American Bandstand I hope after your treatment you have some serious alcohol alcohol Grey Goose will fit the the bill please be safe God bless going back to the UK we have our mandatory mask going on here in Lauderdale but it looks like the cases are coming down thank God looking forward to seeing many more of you in the future my friend LOL hugs Robert

Awwww. Thanks Robert 😍 I was wondering who you would compare me to in the reveal. It's been an amazing experience here, but it's still not home and I miss the grey, dull wet weather of England 🤣 Happy to hear things are improving there. Fingers crossed it's a sign of better things to come. Stay safe and big hugs. 🤗

This is a very interesting technique since ordinary people usually can't (or don't want to) afford the professional rf-microneedling treatments. I'll definitely try this with my RFdevice and my dermaroller. I'd like to know what needle depth you chose. Is this technique more effective than doing RF and MN seperately in your opinion? I think it's not really possible to emulate the real rf-microneedling, because there the microneedles deliver the RF energy into the deeper layers of the skin and by doing it separately this doesn't take place. Nevertheless, I'll try it and I'm sure that the results will be good.

Hi Max. The idea of this wasn't to mimic the Duo RF microneedling, but to stimulate collagen production from two different angles (therefore giving enhanced results Vs a standalone treatment). I modify the needle length depending on each facial zone. (Cheeks at 1mm, forehead at 0.4mm, etc) the thing I found was that my skin responded way more than a single standalone treatment, the texture and tone improved massively and the downtime was reduced. Of course, it's not for everyone and some people enjoy doing separate treatments 😁

one question i start microneedling and i order the nuface microcurrent device, now i like to ask you , if is better go with the Rf device or the mini hifu??? becase i try to improve my pores and wrinkles , for safer to many years for acne
@TJTutorials4 жыл бұрын
Hi. It's entirely your choice. Both of them work equally as well. I love the mini HiFu, but I've only had it a month so I am still testing its effectiveness. I've been using RF for a year and it still works amazing. However, the HiFu contains RF too, so you get 2 treatments in one. Personally, I would start with RF and work up to HiFu as that's what I done myself. 😊

Hello, did you use numbing cream?
@TJTutorials3 жыл бұрын
Hi sam sam 😊 as I was microneedling too, I avoided numbing cream as I want to avoid pushing it into my bloodstream.
