I did this last year. Most incredible tight space job I’ve ever done for the master cylinder. Took me a few days under the pedals with the right tools to work on. I don’t want to do this again.

What about bleeding the system?

Replacing the cylinders basically removes all the old fluid. Bubbles seem to travel upwards to the reservoir. I suppose if you want to just bleed the fluid and replace with new fluid, you can just undo the lines at the slave cylinder and the old fluid will drain out
