I had one in my vehicle set up with Horn function and when I would send it the correct DTMF tone it would send a signal to my remote starter and I could start it. Also if my volunteer fire departments tone went off, it would send that same signal starting my car up as soon as we get a call so that by the time I get out to my car it's close to being warmed up

@@roxfire23 The TK 7180 isn't a toy. It is programmed via dealer software that comes with nearly endless options. The TK 7180 and 8180 radios serve as the backbone for my racks of radios.

Operator Selectable Tone (OST) must be programmed beforehand, very useful though.

Commercial radios only allow programming via dealer software. It isn't a toy.
