Man, I’ve got to say, this is one of the best anti-character guides I’ve ever seen-not just for Hwoarang, but in general. I usually don’t struggle too much against Hwo, but I still learned many things I didn’t know. I think it’s great that you don’t just go over the whole move list, but instead focus on the most important punishes and, especially, the most common situations. I wish there was a video like this for every character on KZbin. Big thumbs up, and I hope you continue the great work!

This is very in depth, hwo and nina are non stop always doing crazy stuff type characters. There are too many things to lab and i have 0 interest in playing them myself as a way to learn their stuff, so ill be checking this guide often. Maybe after some time remembering whats on here, my most hated character to fight could change to nina instead. Ty

Just as a tip thats VERY important and will probably get me hate from my fellow Hwoarang mains for revealing the hidden scrolls of bs: flamingo jab takes 14f to recover. This means that it is literally impossible to punish with an i15 launcher unless the first frame of it's active evades/crouches the flamingo jab or you have an i14 or faster launcher. The example of launch punishing hwoarang is done with jin who has an i14 ws launch so it can be a bit misleading. and using an i14 ws punish is technically a true just frame. It's much more reliable to just go for ws i11. P.S. tbh, most hwoarang's are used to having plus frames after this, and will mash anyways and get hit by an i15 they would've blocked otherwise. Now that this guide is out i have been getting my ass BEAT lol, god damn it theFURY =7w7=

Arshlan ash lost against Hwo so it doesn't matter. Hwo players know you can sidestep so they can change their moves to mid homing safe moves. Hwoarang is one of the best character. I wish Hwo get tons of nerfs

wrong, Hwoarang must take risks to counter the side step and this is not a side stepping guide it's basic strategy, if you didn't pay attention the most recommended option is backdash in this guide and not the side step. Hwoarang is strong indeed but only if the player is strong.

If Hwoarang didn't had an option to stop your side step, he would've been in the bottom of the tier. 80% of his moves revolves around stances and all of that should get countered by a single option? Imagine if your character didn't had any low and grabs, that would've been stupid, hold block and you won. Same with your take.

@@burhanerginn I have 9 Tekken King and 2 GoD characters so what? Do you think Tekken King in T8 of all games is an achievement? The biggest advantage Hwo players have over you is that they're not mentally disabled.

@@burhanerginn I got 20+ tekken kings including hwoarang and lili 💀 trust me if the player doesn't have good fundamentals he can't do anything against lili. follow the guide and try to implement the suggestion in your game plan and be patient.
