That's exactly what he should do. Only an idiot would take their shelf out of the game for 5 minutes by needlessly dropping the gloves. Tkachuk doesn't have to prove anything to keyboard warriors.

Wow didn’t expect Virtano to handle Tkachuk like that. Tkachuk thought he picked an easy target, took a jersey jab to the face then backed off. Then tried to bear hug Virtano from behind and ended up getting taken down. Definitely didn’t go how tkachuk thought it would.

5-5 is a crime. It’s just poor officiating. Tkachuk reignites that whole scrum with the face lock, comes back for more with Vatrano after he disengages, and they still take them to the box 1-1. Mind you,. This played out over almost a minute. The referees saw this occur. And the officials call things so new school but keep the old school of 5-5, even up in the scrums.

Staying above the hashmarks to keep the face off in the offensive zone. If they get involved the draw gets moved to the neutral zone

They want the offensive zone face off. A team loses it if the defenseman come into the scrum after the whistle. I understand it in a tie game, late.

Tkachuk is honestly the biggest goof of the NHL, right next to Marchand. He can't fight fair or clean, always goes for weak, cheap shots because otherwise, a straight-up fight he would get absolutely crushed.

Goons are good fighters. Tkachuck is a rat, not a goon. A rat who just had 2 back-to- back +100 point seasons and was a Hart finalist. Pretty versatile piece of work if you ask me.

this is a good showing for tkachuk compared to his normal dogshit physicality. still piss poor for the league, probably needs to get a little messed up by someone bigger and dirtier before he shows some grit
