Great Video, and the guy on Project Farm is great, and also did a fantastic video on these portable jump starters, with "realtime examples." I think from your video, and his Video, I'll buy the Gooloo -- there is a 2000 model and 4,000 amps. Both should get the job done. Project Farm ( KZbin) tested about 6 different brands, and the Gooloo came out on top, so your Video just confirmed this in my mind. Thanks for your great review here.

One charge will jump around 50 or more cars.ive never counted. But currently I have a bad battery in my truck so I've jumped it 20 times in last week It was at 75% went down to 55% after all jumps. Just charged it.it takes about ten min to chargre. And helping others jump there cars they think your crazy when you pull these out. But the look on their faces when their cars start right up is priceless. I know this was long but I will always own one of these.

I really enjoyed that review. My mother bought me a smaller device like this a couple years back with tall claims. Whenever I needed it, it failed to do the job. Not sure if it was the devices fault, or that the battery was so far drained. I actually had to pull the battery and trickle charge for a full day before I could even get the battery charger to start a real charge. I might still get this one after watching it start your truck and tractor, not to mention running that cooler of yours I've been drooling over.
@TKCL3 жыл бұрын
I will say that the manual gives these starters a 3-4 month shelf life. As in you need to top the charge of after that amount of time, especially if they are in cold weather. They drain just like any other battery.
@O1OO1O13 жыл бұрын
They drain over time, and temperature may also affect both drain and battery capacity over time. Your cheaper device may not have worked because the battery was really low. In both cases, it's likely due to a unit that lacks amps and battery capacity. You need both to revive a really bad battery.

@TKCL10 ай бұрын
Zero issues and I've jumped way more times than that. It stays in my truck permanently just in case I need it.
@Sylvan_dB3 жыл бұрын
Do you have a voltmeter? Several of those larger jump starters when fully charged will put out over 16 volt on the battery clamps. (I measure at the terminals on the jump starter because that little box on the cables blocks the output when not connected correctly). That high of voltage is a concern for delicate electronics. Normally it will be fine because the battery will drag the voltage down quite a bit. But if the battery is bad (not just discharged) it might not. Some cars owner's manual tell you not to jump start because of possible damage...
@TKCL3 жыл бұрын
Yes I used my volt meter during the video. I don't recall it being that high, but at one point I think I seen 15.2 volts. I do remember it staying low with the dead battery.

My gut says the jumper cable side shouldn't be used for something like that. But the cigarette lighter side is intended for steady pulls. It would probably work as long as the trolling motor wasn't run so hard it exceeded 10 amps. I'm guessing it wouldn't run one for very long.
