I loved this story to an embarrassing level. I have never seen a movie or show, (and I am a huge~! Book, Theater, TV and Movie fan, I believe that the thing that separates humans from animals is our story telling), where every single actor, every single scene and every single cinema graphic was freakin PERFECT. This offering was cathartic for me. I have been out for 44 years, but this fulfilled something in me that has been missing all along. I have seen several other gay love stories, but this is the most innocent, sweet and wholesome love story I have ever seen. When I say that I loved it to an embarrassing level, (Dear God~!) I mean, I binge watched it 8 times in a week and a half. (and I have only ever binge watched one other show, ever, and that was only once through.) What sets this master piece aside from all other gay stories is both that it is one of the first none tragic love stories and it has not one single seen for the prurient of heart. Just awesome... Many tears of joy...

SAME!!!! I’m 30 and didn’t come out until I was in my late 20s. I’ve never truly seen myself in a show before this one. I’m right there with you with the embarrassing level LOL! I watch it daily, sometimes on a loop. Queer joy is such a gift and it’s so beautiful to see it in a show on such a huge platform. 💕

This such a beautiful story!! A love story and not a tragedy. How a infatuation developed into a healthy, supportive relationship. The stressors of high school, norms, pressures, cliques, self hate, mental health issues that are not gender specific, ❤️🤯. This story tackles so many issues!!! I recommend for any sexuality, to listen to the messages, watch with your parents so you can have real conversations (this can open so many doors for discussion). Dating, acceptable and not acceptable. Healthy relationships, verbal and physical abuse. Lord if live this story - both as a parent and a mental/substance abuse counselor!! Alice is brilliant ❤️❤️. Where was this when I was growing up. And where was my Nick ❤️❤️ in high school

I cannot believe that the interviewer asked them about playing LGBTQ characters was very brave of them, like others will be Afraid. Like wtf??? What era is he living in? In the 50s???LGBTQ roles are very common and I’m sorry they are so so much better than any heterosexual roles. Plus queer love stories are so much better than straight love stories. If I were an actor and I was offered one of these roles, I would quick to jump to accept it. And I might sound biased because I’m bisexual but seriously queer characters are way much better than straight

Kit and Joe are very close friends. If you watched their individual interviews with Josh Smith you will see how close those two are as friends. Kit said they are now so close, so comfortable in each others presence, that they can hurl insults at each other for a bit of fun. You have to remember, in these press events, both Joe and Kit could have sat down to 10 or 20 interviews during the course of one day. By the time the day is over, they are both exhausted and have talked about Heartstopper so many times.
