I'm so glad you didn't forget precious Jesse! She is sure to love your thoughtfulness❤❤❤ Anne Klein was a great American designer going back to, I believe, the 70s and 80s. I still have some of her wonderful coats and suits because she designed things that would last forever. Donna Karan designed in association with Anne Klein until eventually, I believe, she took over as the head of the brand. When you pick up these items that say DKNY, that is Donna Karan New York. Not quite sure of the status of the company right now, but I do know that the Donna Karan jeans fit me better than any jeans I have ever worn in all of my years, and I am constantly searching for them even in the thrift stores. I snatch them up immediately when I find them. I know everyone and everybody is different, but I think Donna Karan understands a woman's body better than just about anybody. Many years ago, I would occasionally find clothing items and shoes in TKMAXX that I really liked. These days, I go in there mainly for toiletries and beauty products, and the homewares are lovely too!

Hi Sophie! Anne Klein is a department store staple in the US. Mostly in stores like Macy's. Old school like Liz Claiborne and Kenneth Cole. AK makes nice costume fashion jewelry, sunnies and watches. I find TJ Maxx always to be 'hit or miss'. I went the other day, and the entire store was 'miss'. Lol. I also feel that certain times of the year, stores just have nothing worth buying. Either its between seasons, collections, etc. And outlet stores get what's left. I want to say, the black bag you have chosen there is quite pretty. It looks very much like the Coach Rogue bag in black embossed leather with gunmetal hardware. Same vibe. I actually like the black embossed Rogue more than the matte black Lady Dior. 😊❤ Nice to see your shoes David. 😅👟👟

I like this new channel - you look like you're having fun! It's so interesting to me that the brands that are kind of moderate here in the US, that I find cheap versions of what they used to be, are popular in UK and Europe. DKNY when Donna Karan started it was beautiful. Now it just looks mass market. Same with Guess and Juicy. If you look at Michael Kors, DKNY, Calvin Klein, Steve Madden, etc. - they all look as though they're almost the same with a different label. Yes - Tommy Girl is the younger version of Tommy Hilfiger. When there is no MSRP/RRP, it usually means that the store buys a corporate program from the vendor made to the store's specifications. Therefore, as the items are not from the vendor's regular line, they cannot quote an actual retail price. I used to sell cashmere programs to TJX Corp (Marshalls, TJMaxx, Winners in Canada)

I am currently living in Asia but frequently go back to the US. I really love Marshall’s, TJ Maxx and Homegoods for the home goods selections. I have been able to purchase All Clad, Calphalon, Cuisinart, Kitchen Aid, Turkish cotton towels, Oxo good grips food containers, the list can go on. These brands are really over priced here and I can find really amazing deals at our TK Maxx equivalent. As a family of 5 that travels often, I also buy all my Samsonite luggage from there at a great price. All the areas are hit or miss, but sometimes worth checking out clothing/lingerie sections for Calvin Klein cotton undies, Nike/adidas workout clothes/bra, Ralph Lauren Polo shirts and socks - these brands/items are often stocked. I save loads of money buying my family’s basics from here.

I’m in the US and some of our TJ MAXX stores have a Runway section and you can buy luxury goods like Gucci, YSL and more at a discount. You can also buy some luxury things online. 😊 Note to self… if I make it to the UK and go shopping, I will definitely skip TK MAXX. lol TJ MAXX has much better clothing and shoes.

In my local TK (near Birmingham & Warwick, it has recently closed) I remember seeing a bag retailing at £1,000 - they had a small, limited section for higher end bags but only for a few years. I really miss it! I'd quite enjoy it now, I think.

Hi Sophie - I don't know if your TK MAXX stores carry them, but our TJ MAXX stores carry Italian leather purses. I would stack them up against any Coach or Strathberry - any mid level handbags. The Italian leather bags are a specialty and usually purchased online - they have their own category and I've gotten some beautiful ones!! They usually cost $69.00 - $200.00 usd. The stitching on the bags I bought was PERFECT! The shape, the leather quality, the colors (beautiful), the prices are terrific! Sometimes you can get lucky enough to find them in store and given the quality of luxury bags, I actually prefer these!

I'm aware of the fact that they are not allowed to sell fakes but Bethenny Frankel once made a video where she said that TJMAXX in the US was busted for selling fakes from famous brands if I'm not mistaken. I once bought some sunglasses from there and they were fake, I can't remember now which brand they were trying to be but once I took them home the werent that good quality and I googled to try and find the exact ones and it turns out they were 'replica' or fakes...

"You and Hello Kitty..." LOL! David is funny. The thing with TK/TJ Max, Winner's, Marshalls (all the same company) is that you have to sift through tonnes of chaff to find the good stuff. I go into mine (Winner's) all the time, but I only find something I like about 10% of the time. As for the bags -- be careful, they mostly sell the outlet-only stuff, or the stuff made from inferior quality materials. HOWEVER, there are the occasional leather and last-season items.

We have TJ Maxx over here in the states, which is very similar. Also Ross Dress for Less. Both stores carry some designer items, and for reasonable prices. I bought a pair of black platform thigh high boots from Guess for less than 40 USD. They were the only ones there, and just happened to be my size. You bet I snapped those up, and get lots of compliments on them when I wear them. I usually stop in about once a month to see what's new. (Jan Griffiths).

My finds in TK Maxx in May: Louboutin heels, a choice of Barbour jackets, including Barbour x Roksanda, Botega jacket, Burberry spectacles, Chloe sandals, a lot of limited edition Adidas shoes, Tom Ford dress, Coach bags, Alexander McQueen bags, Apple watch bands and a lot and a lot more. TK Maxx choice differ in different locations - the richer location - the better choice. The TK Maxx you showed is rather poor… or you didn’t search good enough.

When I come to London I always go to TKMaxx in Covent Garden, which in my opinion is the best in town. There is a "Gold labels" section where they sell very famous brands at reduced prices, I generally only look at that for clothing. Last year I bought a set of Md. Perricone face creams, a real bargain! Those too were kept in a locked display case. I also bought some beautiful earrings. Candles have always tempted me because there is a great choice, but unfortunately they are inconvenient to bring home when traveling only with hand luggage!

I loved your finds! In the US, the clothing selection in TJMaxx has really gone downhill, I've quit buying any of it. I noticed that just about everything in my donation bags came from there, so what does that tell you? I've picked up a few pairs of shoes and their home goods section is great though. As someone who lives way too close to TKMAXX I dont often fin good clothes, it's a bit like thrifting, most of the things I have from there are not basics but I do occasionally find some. I have couple nice puffer jackets from there. One is michael Kors and its a blue-purple iridecent colour and the other is a mettalic silver extra puffy cropped jacket from Steve Madden, one that was on a poster in the Steve Madden store, I only paid 25 bucks for it.

TK Maxx has a lot of mid Market American brands that most people in this country haven’t heard of, the quality tends to be better than our High Street stuff and the style a bit more classic. For example, I got some 100% linen trousers and shorts by Nicole Farhi and adrienne papelle for £20 each the other week. They also have a lot of denim and sportswear, although I’m not interested in that. I found in the early 2000s they tended to have more of the top designer names, for example i picked up a miu miu pencil skirt for 50p. I think part of it is the supply, a lot of luxury and mid market brands have gone out of business and after all they can only choose from what is already out there x

I know over here in the US, the TjMaxxes with the best designer stuff are technically TjMaxx “runway” stores. They don’t really advertise them, they aren’t that much different than the regular stores but they have a small section of designer goods! Not sure if they have something similar over there :) might be worth the research.

In Germany we do have TK Maxx but it is not as good as it used to be. It is mostly faux leather bags nowadays and a lot of stuff that is produced specifically for Outlet Stores. Most labels put their "cheaper" lines there like "Love Moschino". They are also notorious for bulk buying cheaper brands that people here don't know like some british or italian brands and putting them next to Nike or Adidas and people will think "what a bargain" when actually you buy the clothes for the normal price. 😂 You can still sometimes dig up good stuff, found a cool pair of Steve Madden sunglasses once.

I did get a pair of CK jeans with one leg shorter than the other once. Solution? I made a cute pair of cutoff shorts. I've had them for years. Very distressed and faded now, but they're one of my favorite pairs of shorts. (Jan Griffiths).

TKmaxx is hit and miss and it also depends on the area. If you go to their shops in City, South Kensington and Chelsea, you'd find lots of high end designer stuff. I bought Stella McCartney bags, YSL and Alexander McQueen clothes and many more at really bargain prices.
