You can also use the Torch option under Tools menu to see real-time traffic usage. That is how I look for high bandwidth users.

dear sir, as you may notice in recent ROS upgrades P2p Protocol was removed from firewall rules and instead mikrotik recommend to use Layer 7 protocols. could you please make video about that? thanks for making and sharing knowledges videos

Yep, I plan to create a wifi network based on your tutorials for my neighbourhood. Maybe you are wondering why the subscriber is low and also the view, It's not your fault, Your videos are really good, the problem is that not many people know about wifi networking. But, don't worry because I think that you are the first one that put a tutorials on youtube exclusively about MikroTik. I hope after you had exploited all about MikroTik, you would continue to other router, cisco maybe? But, for now I only want to know about MikroTik, because it's much more cheaper than cisco. It's good for beginner.

I would like to log the identified users to an external server. If I turn on logging on the Firewall Rule, it will log way to many packets (all firewall traffic). Is there a way to just log the dynamic client that shows up in the Address List?

Create a firewall rule and set the parameters that will trigger the rule and set action = log

im looking for similar information. i have created the rule to only show the bit torrent information but i dont want to see the whole conversation, just the internal ip:port and the matching external ip:port. is there a way to do this?

If you put oıtside dhcp server into mikrotik and setup these configs can you still able to see the client who is torrenting ?

Create passthrough mangle rules specific to what you want to track with log enable.

You could create a queue for each user's IP address in your network and then group them under separate parent queue. I will do a video on something like this soon.

I was able to "solve" that issue with the simple queue. I created one queue with no target ip or destination ip either and gave it 2 MB upload and 2 MB download. and now any new ip will automatically be limited to 2/2. if the customer changes the device i will hear about it.
