Great time to be flying back to Oz in economy and stretch out and be served like royalty, as most planes coming in are doing so pretty much empty. Qatar 380 coming in a few nights ago had 14 people in economy out of 460 seats and 7 in business out of 48. Similar flight on 2/4 has been downsized to A350-1000 for the night flight and has 51 in economy coming in out of 281 seats and 6 in business out of 46. Emirates from Dubai to Sydney on 2/4 currently has 39 in economy out of 320 seats in a 777-300ER...planes only flying in as they are still getting full loads with people attempting to get home from Oz...just some trivia for all. Thanks for the shot of QF439, as all Qantas 747 are now grounded and may not get back in the air again commercially for Qantas before being retired. Some may be used to ferry stranded citizens home but as government charters. So your recent QF 747 footage from 23rd Jan, of QF25 leaving at night and anything after that, may actually be the last we have seen of QF 747s commercially ever.
