Id love to see a video with the new TL86611 plus doing the in circuit test and program to see if it works . Curious how you hook up the in circuit plug to the side of the TL86611 like you mentioned in this video.

Alaska Cluster Repair did a test on it. doesn't work. That's why I built a homemade programmer.

Not the clip's fault it took me so long to get it to read on the EEprom on that little board I had got flux all over it and it wasn't getting a good read. cleaned and it worked first try. It just wont work on the instrument cluster.

Can you make the odometer screen say stuff when you start the vehicle with this

I also have a TL866CS original , modified it to the TL866A version firmware and ICSP port, really easy to do. Still have web site info and a few ICSP connectors on hand if you are interested, let me know. It was discontinued because of all the chinese clones that came out, a company can't make any profit if the illegal clones are selling for a lot less than the original. Knowing the limitations of the equipment I can say that mine has done everything I need it to, I'm happy with it.

Unfortunately even with a modded or genuine one won't work because there are other things on that same 5v rail. If you use the Linux software it will work because it doesn't look for over current on the Linux software.

i am new to the field and use the same programmer. I'm trying to load 93c66 and it's saying: ERROR! CODE Address: 0x000000 Buf_Val:0x71 IC_Val:0x06 have you been through this? do you know how to solve?
@FixedUntilBroken2 жыл бұрын
its expecting to see 71 but its seeing 06. I assume by load you mean program and that means its not flashing it.

Really interesting, are you going to get a new programer to do in circuit programming?
@FixedUntilBroken4 жыл бұрын
Maybe in the future but I have no pressing need to get one.

@@FixedUntilBroken I was looking to buy one but wanted to make sure I got one that worked. I have a Weller WR3000 but like the idea of doing it on the board.

Some alterations in minipro circuit programing OK I try it my self 03145263332 whats app
@FixedUntilBroken4 жыл бұрын
@@naeemzia-dp8np modifications to the minipro still won't work because of the over current protection this board has too many things on that 5volt rail. I guess you could probably short the current sensing of the minipro but why bother when $5 Arduino nano can program it.

Look for programer for gm trailblazer cluster programer... and hardware please recommend
@FixedUntilBroken3 жыл бұрын
They make obd2 tools for this you don't have to do it via eeprom. So if you plan on buying a tool you might want to look at them. I just use eeprom programmers because I already had them before I got into clusters.

@@FixedUntilBroken does it work for 2002 model trailblazer... i have a autel reader but it doesnt program ... i need a cheap programer what locations is the address for the milage... for trail blazers .. what software calculate the hex code to insert ... is the vin also storeged on cluster?

Cheapest way is to take the eeprom off the the old board and put it on the me new one.

The company does not support its previous products. They will orphan you in a heartbeat just to sell you another burner. I bought the TL866CS and was orphaned four months later when they dropped all support for it, including dropping it from later revisions of their programming software. So I'm stuck at revision 6.85 forever. Thanks for nothing.

Do you have a recommendation for a better product at a similar price? Real question I am not being a smart ass. I like the Minipro myself and haven't run into much other than the over current protection getting in the way. I have been think about the GQ-4X but haven't had a reason to pick one up yet.

@@FixedUntilBroken I like the burner well also, but I bought it and shortly after was orphaned as a pirate. My burner is genuine and I don't like being called a criminal when I'm not. I think the vendor is wrong to kill off a bunch of legitimate customers for any reason. It is an evil practice and I thought folks should know. I don't have a replacement in mind, but when I do I will look hard for some other make.
