Thank you for the video,simple and informative! I am really new on the subject and still learning.Is there any easier way to read the EEPROM other than desoldering,because I'm afraid I might damage the board or the chip during the process. I've already ordered CarProg,I might as well order Xprog(If coronavirus ever dissapears) Cheers!
@CANDiagnostic4 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your comment. Best to de-solder I'm afraid. You can read them institu on the board but the data may be corrupted as other things are obviously attached to the eeprom via the pcb. I will be making some soldering tutorials soon so stay tuned

Hi another great video bud. Do you know is it the same process for gear box ecu. On a mercedes axor 18 tonne, a m8 of mine has one gone. But was hoping to save a few bob on a 2nd hand. Or would just be a case of transplent one and teach in with xentry. Thanks again

Das or xentry depending in the year.

@@CANDiagnostic Just spent a few hundred pounds on getting my Smart Roadster ECU/SAM/speedo cloned onto new ones I provided, I'm going to have to get myself a reader - why do you not use the chipclip?
@CANDiagnostic2 жыл бұрын
I always remove the chip if possible so there's no way any other chip can interfere with the information I'm working with
