is it easy make tlaser a bit smaller 215mm x 205mm engraving area , any firmware changes

In terms of firmware, to prevent collisions from exceeding X travel, the X max travel should be updated to the new value, with grbl that is as simple as sending $130=215 to the machine once it is connected to the laser software. Other than that, geting a MGN 15H of 300mm of length instead of 400mm, editing the FreeCAD files, check if it all matches in assembly, and it should work fine.
