Cute? More like “extremely Respectful.” But then again, replacing Lisa was NEVER an option to them. Yes the record company they were signed too tried to make it happen. With their show “R U the Girl? With T-Boz and Chilli” the media really ran with the narrative of them replacing Lisa. When it was never like that. Then in 2013, when they resigned to Epic records, and LA Reid had Lil Mama (who played Left Eye in the biopic) do the press conference with them. And put up a pic of them with Lil’Mama on the Epic records website n social media with the headline “Welcome Back TLC! T-Boz, Chilli, and Lil’Mama.” When in real life, Lil Mama was just going to perform “No Scrubs” with them at Vh1’s Mixtape festival. Then they asked her to do a few more shows with them. To help promote the movie and she would be paying tribute to Left Eye. Then during the 2014 AMAs they performed “Waterfalls” with Lil Mama doing Lisa’s rap. But in true Lil’Mama fashion she fucked it up. By over dancing, being out of breathe and screaming out the rap at the end. So Tionne n Chilli ended that real quick. The next night they performed “No Scrubs” on “Damcing with the Stars” instead of Lil Mama performing Lisa’s rap, like originally planned, she was made to just dance and lip sync the chorus. N that was the end of the “TLC feat Lil Mama” era. N put to end the rumors of her becoming the new “L.” Which I never thought she was a good fit. Her dance style is completely different. Where Tionne n Chilli are real smooth and natural in their movements, Lil Mama over dances and is very choreographed. I’m so glad they never considered a new girl. Because like Tionne says “We made history and sold over 85 million. Ain’t no heffer finna come up in this group and claim sumthin she ain’t put in work.”

It was sooo hot that day 😭😭 and mind you we got there at 6am to make line to get let into the venue at 12pm and they preformed at suns peak time 😭😭 3pm . I remember like it was literally yesterday. San Diego’s last best festival line up if you ask me!! Everyone was there!

They are my favorite female group and I love all of their songs. Two things I would love to see more of are, Chili with her hair nice and straight like the time they went on stage when Left Eye had just passed away and more of her singing; not sure why TBoz, which is a great singer sings most of the songs since Chili has a better voice.
