Dom Sansotta Yes, it was 8 months to the day exactly. Aaliyah passed on August 25, 2001 and Lisa Lopes passed on April 25, 2002...I always thought that was kind of strange. Especially since Left Eye had made comments in an interview about how tragic it was that Aaliyah passed the way that she did. Little did she know it would be her turn 8 months later. I recall the fourth quarter of the year 2001 through early 2002 just being a really difficult time...Between Aaliyah, September 11th, and Lisa it was just a really depressing time.

Every time I hear this song I think of the 1st time I heard it at the end of their CrazySexyCool movie and my sister and I balling our eyes out. It was very overwhelming seeing the movie then hearing the song and them showing the pics of themselves in the early days. It was like we had been on that journey with them. Had seem have successes but had also seen their struggles. Had seen them lose Lisa but also had seen them go on without her. But it was all through the fans' eyes, not knowing them personally, but they made you feel like family. They never hid anything and they were always themselves. You related to them. That's why they're so loved.
