It's easy for people to think that "Oh, Joey is so pitiful because she lost a husband." Yes, there will always be nostalgia. Missing the kind of person your significant other once was. But what people don't get is that that kind of sacrifice happens in all relationships. People grow and change over time. And as a partner, a wife, a husband, it is part of the relationship to grow and change with your partner as well. To understand each other, compromise, and ovecome challenges together through love. Yes, Joey made a sacrifice. A sacrifice for love. But so did Angie. She made a sacrifice for her self love. After all, you can't really be in genuine loving relationship if you don't genuinely love yourself. I, personally, love the fact that the both of them were able to overcome GENDER and focus on love. Because that's the main point of all of this. It doesn't matter if that person is a man, a woman, a man who was a woman, a woman who was a man, a person who has no gender. What matters is how you feel about that person and if what you feel can help you accept that person for who they really are. Angie is indeed lucky. She had family, friends, and a wife who accepted her. And I wish everybody was just as lucky. Don't pity Joey. She doesn't need your pity. She deserves our applause. Angie also deserves our applause. Angie is lucky to have an intelligent wife. But let's be real. The "love" easily remained because Joey not only has a good-hearted spouse, but a super rich one at that. I mean when you're a typical paycheck-to-paycheck couple, not a single dime of inheritance with little mouths to feed and all of a sudden your husband outs himself???!!! 28andee I think yes to some extent the financial burdens and pressures aren't there so that's an aspect that they don't have to de@l with. But theres also the issue of having money and what people expect you to be as a businessman as some one of a higher social status, for lack of better words. ,but that wouldn't personally be my sole reason for staying with my spouse despite this huge life change. Currently I cannot fathom being strong enough to stay with my husband if he decided to transition, however I have also not found someone who I was crazy in love with and be incomplete if they weren't in my life. Money doesn't solve everything, sometimes it makes things harder and to say her committment is purely out of greed is unfair.

I don't think its anything to do with money or lifestyle, coz there's love. You can see the love. And if you have love, you won't see other things. I am married and very much in love. And if i will be in joey's shoe, it will be hard to go through the change but much harder not being with the one you truly love. Its not easy, marriage is never easy. Every couple has their own struggles, and this is their struggle, so i think its unfair to say that because they have money its more easier for joey to stay.. not all people are corrupted, and lives for money. I just wish angie will treasure joey's love towards her, and respect her needs as her wife and won't be selfish by going all the way in transitioning.. coz she is already taking hormones, which means she starting to want to feel like a real woman and i think it wont stop there, i just wish i'm wrong coz it will be very hard for joey if it will get to that point

Have seen Joey last Saturday visiting PAWS. She is just one of the few tv personalities whose beauty really strucks me. I was so excited to see her unlike the other typical meztiza actresses in the showbiz. And yeah, today I realized why I got this kind of amazement on her. We share a common thing - her partner is a gay and the man I love is also a gay haha! Pambihira 😂 God bless your heart. Your love for your spouse is so pure and selfless.

This is pure love at its finest! How they embrace acceptance and I personally might not handle it. Maybe with the help of therapist, coz im trying to put myself in their shoes.. there's a lot of sacrifices, and mental/emotional disturbances going on during the transition. But good thing, they were with the right person, and whatever happens, the support is there from each other. Kudos! I am so happy for Angie. I really feel like she’s got a great support system and things could have been more difficult as far as acceptance. I’m happy that she acknowledges this because she knows that it is harder for other transgendered people to become accepted.
