not true for many folks coming from truly third world conditions. In those places if your child is dying and you don't have cash upfront you have no chance! There is little police coverage and in some places out of hand corruption right out your front door. Missing a child? Don't expect national coverage and search groups...in some places people have NO job opportunities and are so far they have to travel hours both ways or live close to it and having to leave their children with relatives for many months every year. Many are overworked at factories being locked in and paid still not enough for a comfortable life. it gets down to overall security, medical and job access. Life is not easy in America either! we work very hard to be able to afford even the basics. Most of us know what it is like to struggle here too. we are not all lying around in wealth and luxury which a lot of the world still imagines us to be which is annoying lols!!!

CJ P The mind set is from early childhood I know this because when I was a little girl I was conditioned to think that way even until I reached adulthood that there was such thing as prince charming and that I would meet a man that would take care of me and pay for everything and all I would have to do is have babies and do my part, but I didn't like the thought of that so I went my own way where I didn't need a man to take care of me and that I can make my own money and not be owned or anything because I wanted to make a change so that I'm not like these girls in that aspect so that I can have self worth and self efficiency that I can eventually reflect on because I am proud of it because accomplishments is really rewarding.
