I think it was my 3rd or 4th grade teacher that finally told my parents I may need glasses. I was always getting bad grades in school and being scolded for it when, in actuality, I couldn't see the bloody chalkboard. I have astigmatism, of which I believe I was born with. What's funny is, back in the day, I could see close up but not far, without glasses...today, I can see far but not close up, without my glasses. Hahaha...what a joy it is getting older!😂

@@celestialturtle6665 I have terrible night blindness. I have to let my feet do the seeing for me when I take a walk to the store at night. I DO have a cane too, which is very helpful. @@momvaz6613 that's so odd I've been able to take my children before school age to get their eyes checked at a children's family eye doctor. a lot of kids from this sort of demographic and geographic region are homeschooled. Plus it's also common in "performance" families who want more time for kids to practice and have extra coaching. These kids probably don't have to look a at a whiteboard from the back of the room like most kids so something like shortsightedness wouldn't be picked up
@sevan4059
@sevan4059 3 жыл бұрын
There's no excuses. My child was being homeschooled but I knew something was wrong. She couldn't find things that were right infront of her. Or she could see stuff that I asked her to look at. If you don't spend time with your child then of course you wouldn't notice they need vision help. Too many parents are too focused on themselves and the path they're trying to force their kids on or whatever and don't actually spend time focusing on spending quality time with their children. Bottom line. The parents should've known their child had issues.
@MsJubjubbird
@MsJubjubbird 3 жыл бұрын
@@sevan4059 It sounds though like your child had far-sightedness. The thing is it sounds like the kids that can't see the judges have long-sightedness. Homeschooling involves reading/looking at things right in front of you, as does finding nearby objects or engaging or playing with someone in close proximity. In school kids have to read things at a distance or they do sorts classes that involves interacting with someone at a distance or playing ball sports form far away. It is very common for short-sightedness to be picked up when kids enter grade school or when they start playing sports.

Instead of telling their child that they need glasses in order to do better in school and for their own general health.

Kids aren't going to say something if they don't realize they can't see & that young, there's a good chance they don't realize they aren't seeing. I'm pretty sure not all pediatricians do eye exams, especially bc most kids also have a separate eye exam. I wouldn't know, bc I don't have kids & don't remember. But I remember noticing my eyes change & after a couple months my mom took me in bc I was starting to have trouble seeing the board. At 3-5 years old kids just aren't using their eyes in ways they would notice & their parents aren't going to notice something like squinting at the TV bc they use iPads now.

ok I did a bit of looking for context, I originally thought she was just having a toddler tantrum and was put in the room to calm down. So basically, the mum was trying to get her daughter to focus and was unsuccessful, so she brought her outside the dance studio asking "Why are you like this?" (Quick summary, the mum was being rather harsh and gave her daughter a little "time-out" and placed her in that room, shut the door, and then the 3 year old started screaming. ) Even though her mum said it's a short time-out, I think the daughter began to freak out being stuck in a room with an adult she didn't know (poor cameraman must've felt awkward though) and that her mum wouldn't come back for her. You can see how she hugs her mum tight afterwards that she seemed scared. Correct me if I'm wrong, but nobody's really in the right here. Eyo, thanks for taking the time to read this essay.

three year olds have pretty basic feelings- I don't wanna and the whole world is going to know it until i get my own way. They just escalate their reaction to try and get what they want, especially if the discipline thing, which isn't meant to be fun, is new to them. Then why not try their luck to see how serious this new regime is? They're usually fine and it's just a performance. I just think such a structured environment is not great for a three year old. Maybe half an hour of fun interactive lessons and then there needs to be time to play and be creative. The actual pageants are the worst for kids this age because they wake up early, have to sit still for an hour and then perform all day- often into their naptime.

You'll never catch me putting my daughter in this joke of a life, 1 spent thousands to win a cheap prize, 3 ruin my child's childhood of growing up normal, and 3 be a controlling parent forcing my kid to do something they don't want. 🙏 I pray for these young little girls

A few things: 1. Anyone notice that smooth hair flip transition from recording to individual interview with the coach at the beginning? 2. Halee’s mom gave some serious Jabba the Hut vibes in her interview

@@thatotherchannel7945 I said “I’m glad he’s doing better” and he was having a rough time a few years ago. So I was basically saying I’m happy for him because he’s come a long way.

I've only seen one mom on here who wasn't crazy... She didn't make her daughter wear fake teeth or lashes, she didn't spend thousands on everything, she tried to get her daughter to look on the brightside when her routine didn't go correctly, and her daughter actually liked doing pageants. It was dress up and spending time with her mom. That's how it should be. The mom was actually helping her daughter build confidence and self esteem. These moms are Mommie Dearest....
