Never liked Matt, he treated Amy terrible, as for his gold digger girl friend,she has no right to interfere, in who got the farm or how much it was going to cost. Matt all through said he built the farm, to-hand to his children, when they were adults, then listened to her, and wanted more for it, she knew there was no way any of the adult children, could come up with that kind of money.

I don’t know, is it just me? Whenever we are shown clips of Amy and Chris, it seems they are often touching, oriented towards one another, holding hands, Chris has an arm around Amy, and Amy is gazing warmly at Chris when they sit on the bench, talking to TLC (us). But, whenever we are shown clips of Matt and Karen, it seems to me that they are not touching or holding hands, or facing each other, and often have a look of dispassionate disinterest on their faces when discussing anything. Matt enjoys the grandkids, and that seems to bring a spark to his countenance; otherwise, he and Karen seem unhappy, uninspired. I hope not, for their sakes.

I know Matt is how he is but everyone is always so hard on him. They’re certainly not great at communicating with each other. Matt seems to have worked really heard in his life to get what he has. What he sets out to do, does. Considering his physical condition, that is quite amazing in itself. I bet he’s had to be very strong all his life. And I get that the others want him to always think about the others feelings, but does any of them genuinely ever ask him how he’s doing and how he’s feeling? I doubt it. He’s used to bottling his feelings up and just working. He’s probably HAD to be like that growing up and has been conditioned since childhood to be like that because of how people and the world works. I feel bad for him when everyone always are so harsh on him.. even while having regular conversations with him there’s never any real warmth there. They all speak to him so cold and emotionless. I think with better communication the situation could have been different with the whole outcome of the farm. He just didn’t see the same work ethic in his kids and did not trust for them to care for the farm as he has. I think he’s right when he says that he would have to continue taking main responsibility of the farm, which he doesn’t think he wants to at this age and stage of his life.. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Matt decided to leave the home to Amy if he passes before she does. I think that is wonderful. Zac needs to get over it. Zac and Tori comes across as spoiled brats. Matt worked hard all these years. Matt can do what he wants to when it comes to the farm. Zac and Tori are passive aggressive towards Matt. They won’t come visit Matt. Very sad on their part 9:44

I think Zack feels like the money Matt(and Amy) used to make the farm what it is today came from the popularity of the show, and also the proceeds from filming the show. Without the whole family on the show it wouldn’t have been what it is, so in their own way the Roloff children are investors in that farm too, and the fact that Matt paid Amy less money for more property than he wanted to sell to one of the boys for more profit stings. It was opportunistic on Matt’s part all the way around and like his family has said it’s not just business. I recall Matt and the twins pressuring Amy to make a decision on selling her part of the property so one of them could buy in. This was at Matt’s behest of course, then when she did Matt flipped the script again on the twins and their wives too and “couldn’t” work out a deal. That’s the rub. All that being said, I think it all turned out better for Amy and the twins in the end. So kudos to them all.

I love seeing Matt, Zach & Tori interacting. Losing a close family member has a way of bringing people back together. Zach & Tori and their beautiful kids are doing their thing! I hope they let Matt & Karen start babysitting again. Petty drama isn't worth the aggravation. Those children deserve all the loved ones they can get.

Matt obviously has some issues and I’m just wondering if he’s internalizing all of it and taking it out on the ones he loves most and is letting himself get led astray by negative influences like poor counsel. Matt's not always easy and he's far from perfect , of course he has made mistakes but he has been an amazing dad and grandpa who adores his family and has worked his ass off to give his sons and daughter and his grandchildren a privileged life and the childhood he didn't have . I disagree that Zach is disrespectful, BUT I agree it’s Matt’s farm in the end. He’s certainly not a horrible person. It’s odd for someone to expect a hand out from parents. i don't understand the whole "staging a house" thing for selling a house. i don't want to see a house with furniture in it. i have eclectic and simple tastes, and i'm not interested in somebody else's decor. i want to see the open rooms so i can more accurately model what i want to put in there myself. if i showed up to look at the house and the realtor had staged the house, i'd turn around and walk out.

Staging is also used to show the scale of a room, which is easier to imagine with furniture in it. A room might look huge while it is empty, but not when there is bedroom furniture in it. No one is expecting you to like the way it is decorated.

Caryn and Matt were having an affair before he left Amy and moved into the DW. Basically Caryn stabbed Amy in the back, as they were friends/worked closely on the farm during pumpkin season. Then during the meeting about the sale of the farm to Zack and Tori, she felt like she had the right to put her 2 cents in. She's a trouble maker and IMO, is perfectly fine with the division in the family. In fact I feel like she's happier. None of the kids to get in her way. And of course Matt just continues to let her lead him around like some trained pony.

Matt was a wonderful provider. Amy didn’t have to work when she was a homemaker. Amy just complained and complained even though Matt provided a good living. I think Amy was bored after she raised the kids.
