Based on my understanding, real world time corresponds to specific slots being more likely to upgrade - it's not RNG or even some kind of knockout systsem. Example: Dinner time on Thursdays, you may be more likely to get a roll into your 1st and 4th substat. (Totally made this up for the example) So, the method is to lvl of up a bunch of fodder relics to identify the pattern at that time. Then, you can pick relics with good substats that fit that pattern and level them up.

Thanks for this. At first, I thought I was very stupid to understand this, but I realize I am smart enough to understand this (even though I am stupid). I already tried 2 dummy relics with a single crit stat, and I was flabbergasted at how fckin easy it was to get good rolls. Man, it was the easiest 3 critical dmg rolls in a row in my entire life. I’ll give this a try when I have good relics to try and roll. But if I’m understanding this correctly if the probability at the time says, if you roll on a 4 line relic and got 1st line upgrade. Then you would go to a 3 line relic. Upgrade it to a 4 line to put yourself back on the 4 line relic roll. Then go back to your 4line with slot 1 upgrade. Roll it again. Which means you’re rolling that probably that says, if you on 4,Then your next upgrade has a higher chance of being 1. Would you recommend people only do this when you have a bunch of good pieces to try and roll for?

True rng can’t really ever be coded in any video game. You can get close. But there will always be a pattern. It’s a code. So a computer will always follow it. Other players with a better background than myself in coding can probably explain it better.

It's only pseudorandom as it utilizes an algorithm. Your "luck" is predetermined by a seed. Your seed is chosen by a bunch of different factors too, so it isn't truly random either. Basically the perceived randomness just layers of not so random stuff on top of each other in a way that makes the outcome feel random.

to add to this, time is usually one of the main factors/layers they use to determine rng seeds, which is why time is a major factor for a lot of these manip stuff.

@@BigBoiPnoy unfortunately there’s tons of restrictions on relics, so hacking them would be hard. And I know this because I personally work on a private server for HSR. HSR auto calculates all stats (unlike Genshin, which depends on the Server for that). Not only that, all battles in game are mostly offline, the only thing that the Server wants is to know that ur Client is still alive.

One thing that is interesting is there’s a way for servers to give some stuff, stats calculate in steps and some other thing, that the server can give, but that stuff is very weird and changing it absolutely destroys the stats, so it’s likely nigh-completely hardcoded

@@BigBoiPnoy yup, PS’s indeed have different stuff, but I can guarantee that all stuff relic manipulation is pure luck based, and ofc, PS’s can have crazy good relics because of the two variables that the server provides, these two variables multiply each other then do some sort of other calculation. That’s what allows relics to be incredibly powerful in Private Servers.

Most players that do it say doing it yourself is the best way to learn. I’m and honestly I don’t even go off the main sheet that much. I go off my own personal data more during the process. I can say at most the discord members can try their best also to help. They are more active than me. On my end I’m barely available unless it’s my off day from work. Even then at most I can do on those days is play max like 2 hours 🤣

If I understand correctly, the optimal strategy is to measure your luck at a given time by pumping unnecessary three stat relics and keeping a log of where the characteristic will fall the next time you upgrade a relic? You don't keep your own statistics on where the characteristics fall on +9 and +12 pumping because it's expensive and time-consuming, right? I tried the method of pumping three stats and then switching to a useful relic, i start with a little warm up and ends up in an hour I made 35 upgrades where I got 29% and 43% dropped in 1 and 2, 11% and 17% dropped in 3 and 4. I was able to make some good relics that had useful characteristics at slot 1 and 2.

Yep yep all correct. It’s not really luck in this case. You are just calculating probability at the time you are rolling and taking advantage of it. Which is not cheating. You are basically doing what you did in school for the method… taking down notes and applying it to a test(which is basically your main relics)

I just followed this guide - not sure if I used it 100% correctly, I kept levelling a single relic to hit the 4th line, and then went back to the same relic I was upgrading attempting to get 43, 43, 43, and it worked, got my Acheron a 25% Crit Damage headpiece. Is that right? Or should I still be taking into account the % change of what the relic will roll on each subsequent upgrade? For example, If I get a relic and I want it to always land in the same slot, am I right to keep trying to trigger the 43, 43, 43 or, is that less effective because the relic has a % upgrade per additional roll? I hope that makes sense... Sorry!

Your thought process is true for the time you are rolling. And no we don’t take into account your thought process of % upgrade per roll. You need to just be aware of what patterns you are getting. You got 43 a lot? Perfect means you can abuse leveling the whatever substat is on the 3rd line this way. Edit : remember that there’s still some probability and luck involved. Even know you know what’s common for you. Doesn’t mean you won’t randomly hit the Low %s out of nowhere while you do your session

Caesar shift. Same pattern movement just starting from a different line. Example: If I start from substat line 4 I’ll upgrade substat line 1 next. So in theory this also means if I upgrade substat line 2 first. I’ll upgrade substat line 3 next. Still probability involved. But that’s the gist of it.

My current frustrating issue is my bad luck with the inconsistent pattern, they kept on shifting randomly. Almost get like all whole string 44 42 43 41 within a 5 minutes, wasted a lot of relics for test string. Sometimes felt like Asia is having a more hard time to get consistent pattern instead of other server 😢

Getting your own data for your own account will be more accurate cause it’s data from your own account. This also eliminates players that try to sabotage the overall data. Probabilities change throughout the day. Hence why I did a bunch of test upgrades to discover what was common for me and that time. Then I took advantage and upgraded what I wanted right after. In this video 41 is common for me yes. Which also means 34 and 23. All same pattern. Same upgrade movement. Your thought process is correct for the time I was upgrading in this video.

I’m taking notes of what “pattern strings” are common for my account during the time I’m upgrading. The main sheet has a ton of data but the accuracy is what the overall outcome is for the whole day. Not accurate to the time you are rolling. The 3 star to 5 star I’m forcing my “upgrade line” to the line I want to start the “pattern string” from.

If I’m constantly upgrading the 1st substat line after adding/upgrading the 4th line. That also means if I add/upgrade the 2nd line first I will upgrade the 3rd line next. Which means patterns 41 = 23 Same “pattern string” upgrade movement just starting from substat line 2 instead of substat line 4

So, if I want to be able to upgrade on line 2nd or 3rd, do I need to upgrade on line 2nd, so that I can definitely get in line 2 or 3? And, I read the sheet and why are 43241 and 21423 the same? Why can the order be said to be the same just because the starting line for the upgrade is different?

​@@zenhok1616 its not that simple. cause you need to understand time and day effects what's common for you. upgrades after 2nd line can be lines 4 or 1 also if youre commons during your upgrade session are 42 and 43. in which case you wouldnt even need to go for the 2nd line upgrade, just force your upgrade line to the 4th line. for 43231 and 21423. dont think about the numbers. think that its upgrading in a set pattern. both patterns are moving the same way. you get it now? your upgrades are predetermined that way. from the server. same time we didn't program it it's just a theory. No one can confirm if we are right or not other than game devs of Hoyo themselves

Most players get confused with the Caesar shift part… just -1 your pattern strings if you start from the 3rd line(3xxx). And -2 your pattern strings if you start from the 2nd line(2xxx).

Edit : its a blink and youll miss it. But i added flat hp to a blue relic then switched to the orb. that orb has hp% not flat hp

In the video where you are tracking you lines, some has for example 43, other 4334, if i'm understanding this right that is because you need an upgrade in a specific line(in your main relic) and you need to change the upgrade line, so in the second case you have leveled up on different relic lines 4/3/3/4

It’ll always be better to go off your own data. This way at least you know it’s 100% trust worthy(eliminates human error from other players) You can use the global data to start off, but once you have enough data for yourself you won’t need it anymore.

I reuse relics I leveled to save exp. For feixiaos whole set right now I used 1k blue crystal exp frags. Also honestly I barely use my stuff and find myself dismantling relics till I feel like building a character. All my other characters I haven’t touched their relics in ages 🤣 Other than that I complete events and end game content and save mats constantly.

Each time you add a substat it resets the pattern. It says it on the video on screen. Edit: it resets to just 4 if you do that.

Caesar shift. Same pattern movement just starting from a different line. If I start from substat line 4 I’ll upgrade substat line 1 next. So in theory this also means if I upgrade substat line 2 first. I’ll upgrade substat line 3 next. Still probability involved. But that’s the gist of it.

It’s to keep track of your own rolls. We don’t know what time you are rolling. Recording your own data will be more accurate to your account also. The more data you put onto it the more you’ll realize what’s common for you with the %s on the same page. You need to change the day on that sheet on one of the pages on that template though cause it reads data off the global sheet still. Yellow = uncommon from the global data and green = common to the global data The data on the main sheet is true to the overall 24 hour day from players from around the world. Not accurate to the hour and minute you are rolling.

Are you using excel? Use google sheets to use the file. Also consider it might be grabbing data from our main sheet. There’s thousands of data points. Technically it doesn’t freeze. It loads everything up.

just an example. if you have blue relic it automatically begins at 2 because blue relic with 1 substat once you upgrade to +3 the 2nd substat will show up. Now base on the theory if your last upgrade is at substat 2, the next upgrade will highly be at substat 2 or substat 3. With that knowledge you want to upgrade a different relic (for example a gold relic which has 4 substats) with crit rate or crit damage placed at substat 2 or 3. i tried my best, english is not my first language ^^

​@@alonelycactiif i understand this substat manip stuff correctly, it basically all is determined by patterns that are used by the server at a certain time of the day, which you must determine by upgrading fodder relics. once you figure that out, if you see anything that makes it more likely to roll a 4 or a 1 after something you can reset like 2 for blue relics or 3 for purple relics, then you can fish for those substat rolls by doing the samw method. if you dont see a pattern that has the desired substat lines, either try to find relics that have what you want on the lines you can manip, or just wait for a different time for a better pattern that has the lines you want.
