I really hope people won't fall for Reform's growing popularity, they may have a significant portion of the voteshare but it's incredibly unlikely for them to win more than 2-3 seats in a general election.

Why are you guys always in such a rush to get videos out? If only you had waited one more day, you could have covered the nail biting finish that was the west midlands mayoral election. What's the point in a TLDR video if it doesn't cover what was arguably the most exciting and most significant result? A generic video of 'there were local elections and tories will probably do badly' really doesn't add much; we knew that already. An 'analysis of election results' video released before all the results are out is not an analysis video. It's basically just speculation based on opinion polls. Which could have been done at any point in time, whether there were elections or not.

When you talk about overturning majorities it would be helpful if you showed both the previous election's results and the current one. @MarkusAldawn
@MarkusAldawn 18 күн бұрын
@@Vandel96 So if it's what you've been seeing, it _is_ your point of view. Literally- it is the view that you have gotten from your vantage point. View from a point; point of view, it's where the phrase comes from. My point of view, by contrast, suggests the opposite; most people I know oppose the war and are increasingly frustrated by the complicity of our politicians. To know the truth, we would have to look at more objective measurements than our own points of view, such as polling around how people feel about the war in Gaza, who they support, and how it is changing their voting intentions.

Reform might well get more votes than the Lib Dems but it won't translate into seats since Reform's vote is pretty much average across the entire country around 10-20% won't win them a seat. The Lib Dems have strong areas but also areas with no support at all, they could end up winning 50 seats though easily.
@LS-jv9hp

@@Talisguy Ah yes people totally want millions of foreigners who hate them, their religion and culture to come in the boat loads. No way thats gonna cause generational issues in health, schooling, demographics, religion, economic and housing. The UK can totally handle that, the economy is in the best place possible for it! I fully admit I am both biased and not at all in-the-know when it comes to British politics. But why is it Reform UK that is talked about when both Greens and Lib Democrats got more councillors, I assume also in previously conservative regions, while Reform UK got none? So even if all conservative councils were replaced by Reform UK ones, they would still be a minority, and there would be more seats to gain by appealing to liberal/whateverTheRightTermIs voters?

20 seconds in and you've called the Tories *winning* the Tees Valley election (complete with graphic showing their winning vote distribution) a "terrible defeat". At this point I'm unsubscribing from you because your quality standards are now so poor that I don't trust anything you produce. Something something airport departure, but if TLDR receive some feedback on why I've done so, I'm of the perhaps naïve opinion that they might actually raise their game and win me back.

Rishi Sunak's biggest problem is that he has about the same charisma as a rice pudding, or John Major, whichever is the least appealing. He is probably a nice person away from politics, but he hasn't got what it takes to be a leader. I notice that he has taken lessons on how to behave in front of cameras, though it always comes across as "tries hard, but...". His saving grace, but what a thing to be remembered for, is that at least he was not as bad as Liz Truss. Had the Conservatives had a more confident leader, they would still have suffered a defeat, but perhaps less of an almost annihilation because Keir Starmer is not exactly Mr Charisma. Where are the charismatic politicians these days?
