Even though they finished last, gotta respect Jack's team for making double the amount of deliveries the others teams had. Really makes you wonder what the hell Ben's team were doing in all that time, in hindsight they could've won easily.

Not sure if avoiding trains would even be possible. With all the delays, I think team Ben made the right call to just finish rather than trying to grab more points.

@@RosyMiranto Given the game is all about deliveries, i'd say probably yea. Maybe something like 3 points for most deliveries made, 2 for second and 1 for least deliveries, though excluding the final 10k delivery as they all make that one in a sense.

Those teams taking taxis in the Netherlands while there are perfectly serviceable trains available almost physically hurts. Also, the winning strategy would've been to fly over the alps, do a bunch of deliveries in that region with nice high points & get on a sleepertrain for your 8 hours rest to wake up in Utrecht.

A bit unfortunate that the wrong delivery wasn't communicated directly as no points. It may have caused Ben's team to use suboptimal strategy and could even be used on purpose to get other teams to use wrong strategy.

Team red could've actually gotten that Bonn one quite easily. The train they were on from Frankfurt to Düsseldorf got to Siegburg/Bonn Station at 10:00 scheduled and the one to Utrecht left Köln Messe/Deutz at 12:38. Those two stations are literally 15 minutes apart and they'd have had more than two and a half hours to find the place in Bonn and get on a local train to Köln.

Oh yeah definitely. The reason why I think they didn't consider it was because they didn't pick up on the fact Blue (Team Zac) picked up the illegitimate location in Denmark so they thought they couldn't get to 14 anyway, so they just aimed to beat Yellow (Team Jack). If they had picked up on it, they could've aimed for 11 points, and that would just require the simple stop in Bonn as you said. I was lowkey screaming at the phone wondering why they didn't take a slower strategy picking up more locations and just aiming to make it to Leiden by 4... I think even with the delays they could've nabbed a couple more and secured a victory. But i guess that was hard from their POV

I think you need episode 6 where you have a debrief and talk about what you did, what you would do different if doing it again (other than not leave passport in a taxi). May next time extra bonus point for most deliveries? Points for distance? Although it was not planned, team Zac sort of only did 1 delivery - because order 10000 had to be done. Also, 5 episodes is not very TL;DR 😉

I think Ben's team should be counted as the winners as zacks team should be penalised for a wrong delivery of 1 point. A bonus point for most deliveries should have been Inc to push teams to go till the end and another point for least money spent just to make it more interesting but for a first run this was entertaining and was definitely worth the watch well done to you all. You're a great team and thoroughly enjoy your content. Definitely a place I come to follow the goings on around the world keep up the great work.

I´m kinda disappointed that most teams decided to end the race as quickly as possible tho, I would have preffered if the final location was revealed like at 10 or 11 am of the last day instead of the night prior, that might have helped the race to be more entertaining, cause at least for me, only the first day was really awesome to watch while the last day it was pretty much lets get this done asap, which was disappointing as a viewer

Once again, Team Ben should have easily won, if they had researched the German rail network more closly, even surpassing the 13 points of the imagined delivery... Munich(4)-Ulm(2)-Suttgart(2)-Mainz(3)-Bonn(2)-Köln-Utrecht are all along a major rail corridor - instead they opted to go around via Nuremberg, bypassing all of those, and furthermore doubling back to Frankfurt because they didn't know about the Rhine valley line (one of the most scenic railways in all of Germany) opting for the Hinterwälder-roller coaster via Limburg...

The team explained this in their Nebula sessions. Most of the flights weren't available to them because of the timing and their budget. Flight tickets aren't cheap when you only have a few hours before the flight. Not to mention all the time it takes to get through the airport. It's regrettable, but you don't know every thing.

Very fun. Would love to see taxis/Uber banned from the next edition if that ever happens, maybe with an exception for delays or cancellations. Public transport just makes for much more compelling stories, as Jet Lag has demonstrated many times and it's really quite painful to see people take a taxi through the Copenhagen metro area when trains run about every 10 minutes. This is not a sustainable way of travelling.

That train stops at Siegburg/Bonn Station, which is just a short tram ride from central Bonn, at 10:00. The first train after that towards Utrecht/Amsterdam leaves at 12:38 from Köln Messe/Deutz Station, so I'm pretty sure that's the one they were on. That gives them a window of more than 2.5 hours to get to Bonn from Siegburg/Bonn, deliver that package and get to Köln, which is only half an hour, even by slow, commuter rail. So that would've given them enough time. I don't really know why they didn't do that.

Especially Ben's team, since both deliveries (I'm not counting the myriadth order) were in just one country, Germany. While that's convenient (especially since it's Germany, after all), yes, DB train delays mean they could only make two deliveries before heading to the final destination.

I was wondering about that as well but I expect there to be a rule that they just didn't explain to us. Because everything would be easier with a rental, especially in the netherlands/belgium/Germany triangle where everything is sort of close together.
