Girlfriend's First Time Hearing Marcelito Pomoy - The Prayer Reaction!!

Marcelito is from the Philippines & won their got Talent Show. He also has been on US Champions Got Talent & Ellen. This song sounds like the one that Celine Dion & Andrea Bocelli does & is sung in both English & Italian which he doesn't speak (English only slightly). He also does several other songs like Beauty & The Beast in which he sounds like those performers. Also he sings in other languages which he also doesn't speak. He has had no formal lessons & lived on the streets from the age of about 7 until his teens because one of his parents being in jail & the other left. He is in his late 20's I think & is married with 2 kids now. He tours in the US & also was working on a TV show in his home country. I believe he has donated to several charities in his home country & appears to be very humble yet happy.

Master Rito not only got a golden buzzer in Philippines got talent but also won the show. He then went onto America’s got talent all stars and did very well there as well. The really special thing about him though is that he actually has no training as a singer, what he has is pure natural talent.

That was him releasing the high voice. He was on the streets as a child and had a job cleaning chicken coops. He sang to the chickens to keep them calm. He has other videos with other songs.

I have watched thousands of Pomoy reactions...there are other singers with voices I like, such as the basses of home free and voiceplay, but in all my life I've never heard anything like Pomoy... the quality of his higher voice is a throwback to castratos (I can't believe the woke have made that atrocity a thing again), but he is unique even from that lot in that he is equally gifted throughout his range

amazing isnt he ....can I suggest another amazing talent from the Philippines called 4th Impact. they are 4 sisters with amazing harmonies that will leave you speechless. In 2015 they auditioned for X Factor UK and that video has more than 190 million views on you tube. they have many covers and a few original songs on you tube . He is not only singing in two very different registers, but also in two different languages, neither his native tongue. They have very different placement and intonations. I played this performance for my 102-year-old Sicilian Great Grand Mother 3 years ago before her passing. She was awe struck muttering the occasional Bravo, Bravissimo and Mamma Mia under breath especially during his Italian verses, and at the end of the performance she declared Marcelito is an Angel of God. She said he was Italian no matter where he's from. She also declared his Italian was better than some in the room. If Gram says he's an Angel, who am I to disagree.

Not bad for a guy that was living on the streets in the Philippines and sleeping in alley's from the age of 7. He did whatever he could to make money to feed himself. He learned to sing by listening to the radio. People heard him singing and finally talked him into going on a Filipino singing contest that he won when he was 18. Lipsyncing is actually a taboo in the Philippines. Filipino singers are expected to sing live every time because if they are not singing live or caught doing fake singing, they'll get criticize severely. The Philippines is a land where you can find great and amazing singers. Not only the celebrities but even normal people can actually sing. Not exaggerating but it's really hard for singers to standout in the industry here because filipinos have high expectation. If a filipino gives you a standing ovation and applause , you're lucky because that means you're too good.
