In this video, Maja shows you the transformation of a lame regular backpack into the post apo backpack of "Joel" from the video game "The Last Of Us".

Chribit Joel probably keeps it as as a sentimental thing, he's probably had it since the beginning and it's hard to lose it for him. Kinda same with his Watch what Sarah brought him it's a smashed up watch but he keeps it as a reminder of Sarah and it was the last thing she brought him before she died. That's what I think at least

really amazing work. you inspire me to eventually invest in a sewing machine. my only gripe was hot gluing the pockets. it wouldve been so useful to have a functional back pack for when you cosplay. im doing something similair with a pack i bought at goodwill for my wasteland cosplay. amazing work!

If you want the side pockets to be functional, you could always put on snap fasteners instead of the decorative buttons. I'm working on a Joel cosplay and had to replace my shirt buttons with snap fasteners, and they're very easy to install. The big pocket is tougher, as there's nothing visible on Joel's that would actually keep it closed. My suggestion would be velcro, since it would be hidden under the flap.

This tutorial is incredible!! I'm working on my own Joel cosplay right now and one of the things I was stumped on was the rucksack! I'll definitely use this tutorial as a reference

I'm probably way too late on this, but I'm working on the same thing. Amazon sells an AmazonBasics olive green flannel shirt that is pretty close to the base colour. I adjusted the colour slightly using fabric dye and then painted on the lines using fabric paint and masking tape. You can then sun-bleach it completely or selectively to get the right degree of fadedness.

Wenn man ein Kleid hat und dort müssen Asche Effekte drauf bzw. Anzeichen darauf das es verkohlt ist, wie würdet ihr das am besten machen? (auf einer weißen Schürze)

Ich glaube das würde ich tatsächlich mit Asche oder Kohle machen. Meistens sind die natürlich Materialien am authentischsten. Das solltest du dann aber gut mit Klarlack versiegeln, damit du nicht alle Leute mit dem Kleid anschmierst :D
